Ever since I was teased about MLB 07: The Show for the PlayStation 3 a few months ago at a special Sony event, I've been sweating in anticipation for its final release. You can imagine my extreme disappointment when I ran over to GameStop last week to pick it up only to find out it wasn't out yet -- I was told sometime in May it'd finally come out.
Either way, I'm starving for more PlayStation 3 goodness and The Show has the potential to be the cure, the cure for my fever -- you see, last year, The Show was way better than that 2K Sports debacle. So, if you're feeling as I am, let this video be the appetizer to tide you over until us PS3 baseball fans get our real baseball game.
Hey Summa, have you seen any screens or played any early build of that new baseball game, The Bigs? Looks pretty good, I'm interested in it because I want to see how they do the Wii controls.
baseball is just boring. The only baseball game i ever played was teh Ken Griffy Jr. Slugfest on the N64 cus my older bro played it all the time. but all in all, baseball just sucks.
The last baseball game I played was Home Run King on Gamecube. I've been looking forward to this one though. It's been a while since I've played a baseball game and since I don't really have much PS3 goodness to choose from yet, this looks like the one.
Ehh, doesn't look that great to me, but to each their own. My favorite baseball games were Tony Larussa Baseball 2 on the PC and Hardball 3 on the PC. Al Micheals provided commentary in Hardball 3 and I just thought it was the coolest thing. I also really like Little League Baseball on the NES. Hmmm, maybe I should check out a newer baseball game...
You put any game to Wolfmother and I will buy it. I played the 2k sports demo of MLB07 on the PS3 and had a grand time hitting batters in the head with the pitches and getting them and the manager ejected. I dug the Sublime they had for the soundtrack as well. I can't really see how you can give baseball games depth unless it is like an RPG where you start out in college or the minors and make your way up to being an MVP of the World Series. Then again, there are way too many games in a season and it would get boring. Then again, they did use Wolfmother.
I can't get over the fact that MLB 2K7 looks ten times better than this game does. The animations are way too sloppy for a next gen game, and the character models are just... meh.
It better play better than MVP 2005, otherwise its a waste of time.
Prince is one of the greatest guitarists of all time...he's a genius in the craft of song...the list goes on and on.
And Wolfmother emulates a time period. I mean I respect differing musical tastes but...I have a hard time respecting a band who seems like throwback music.
Why do the pitcher animations look totally off in every 3d baseball game ever? The impact with hitting the ball too. Also Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball for the SNES, is the best baseball game ever easily.
I'd have to agree with a few other comments, this doesn't look very special. If it plays better than the other baseball entries is one thing, and it might. But it certainly doesn't look all that "next gen." I can remember Triple Play 2002 looking about as good on a well-built computer.

If only they made cricket games as good as this, awesome.
Let's go Red Wings!!! I have tickets to tomorrow night's here in Calgary, fuck yeah!!!
I have Hardball 3 on my living room PC and Hardball (something) on my Genesis. My fav part is editing the team logo. Super Mario team, FTW.
Is hardball 3 as good as hardball 2? I thought 2 was the last in the series.
OHHHHH YEAH! I FEEL THE STEROIDS WORKING NOW!!!
It better play better than MVP 2005, otherwise its a waste of time.
That and a re-hash of another MLB game...what a stinkah!
