Mirror's Edge on iPad and iPhone is yours for free today
Mirror's Edge was a case of hit or miss for many. The game received very mixed reviews and sales didn't seem to be anything worth boasting about. That didn't stop EA from having versions for both iPhone and iPad being made later on. As part of EA's mobile Daily Deals (which hits the brakes on January 2), Mirror's Edge on iPad and iPhone is, for today only, absolutely free. Other deals that you may either laugh at or take seriously include Tetris DLC being 30% off. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)This is actually one of my favorite iOS games. Really well done. The gestures really fit the gameplay and it feels good getting into a rhythm running through a level. You know what I love? Free stuff. You know what else I love? Mirror's Edge.
This seems like a winning combination. I reeeaallllyy want a sequel to this on the Frostbyte 2 engine (ie Battlefield 3 engine). I got the original for $5 in a Steam sale and really enjoyed it. It was far from perfect, and not worth an AAA price tag. But it was a unique experience. I think a sequel that learned from the first game's issues could be incredible. Especially if they give Faith a katana... The one thing that Apple has over Android right now is the fact that I was able to fire up iTunes and download both versions, even though I don't have a single iOS device. Umm, the game is set to Chinese language or something, and I have no idea how to change the language through those menus. I will only download this game if EA put in a freemium model that charges you 10 cents for every step your character takes. 7:00 PM on 06.18.2013 EA Sports' next-gen engine doesn't support PC, Wii UEA Sports Ignite, the engine slated to handle PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sports games from EA like NBA Live 14, EA Sports UFC, Madden 25,and FIFA 14, presently doesn't support the PC or Wii U. 4:00 PM on 06.14.2013 Ultima Forever reduces freemium prices due to fan outcryAs we all know, freemium models tend to do more harm than good if they're not well designed. There's a very fine line between "wanting to monetize your game" and driving players away, and in the Canadian beta for Ultima Forev...

11:45 AM on 06.14.2013 FIFA 14 feels a bit more methodicalThe "step-based locomotion technology" behind FIFA 14 makes the game feel grounded, putting a greater emphasis on the fluidity of movement. It's cool to see, because dribbling and positioning are paramount in soccer/football...
11:15 AM on 06.14.2013 Madden 25 going crazy with one-handed catchesMadden 13 was really the shot in the arm the franchise needed after several years of feeling remarkably stale. The implementation of a physics system in retrospect seems paramount for something striving to be simulation footb...

10:10 PM on 06.13.2013 NHL 14 fight system revamped, collision physics happeningOne of the weird things about NHL 13 was its newly implemented first-person fighting system. Well, that system is getting removed because it takes the player too much out of the game. In its stead, some of the tech from EA's...
9:20 PM on 06.13.2013 NCAA 14: Better with physicsWhen I previewed NCAA Football 14 earlier this year, I noted that the best news about the game is that it uses the Infinity Engine 2, the original iteration of which made Madden 13 the best entry in the series in many years. ...
