While the footage we've seen thus far of Mirror's Edge has been pretty impressive, a lot of it felt washed out by bright sunlight effects and sterile environment. With the exception of the bright red objects to give hints to routes, there wasn't a whole lot of color.
At Leipzig today, EA was showing off a new level, called "Stormdrains," that displays a much larger interior area. Now that the lights aren't so bright, the colors start to jump out a little more and it's nice to see that the bright white of the outdoors isn't necessarily the primary aesthetic. The video above runs through the level and has some pretty sweet wall-jump action too.
The first-person perspective still makes me a little queasy upon viewing, but I suspect that will be different once I finally get my hands on a controller. Even if it does make me sick, I'm going to play this game. How about you?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
It also looks pretty simplistic and glaringly obvious where to go (the only place you can and follow the red objects).
@xe-cute
Maybe, but maybe not. It'll probably be different when your hands are on the controller.
Any more information on this game and I just might explode with excitement
Seriously
COME OUT ALREADY
I also like how there's no music. The lack of music actually adds atmosphere to this.
I'm amped, I loved randomly jumping around in Assasssin's Creed. Also, color = good.
still, a most definite do want
All they said was jumping from building to building etc etc and so I thought it was freedom jumping and roaming type game.
Now it is glaringly obvious it is pre determined path and will ahve no replay value at all (also no multiplayer I guess).
Shame as if they made it choose your own path in an openworld than it be great.
