Milla Jovovich confirms a new Resident Evil film ... sigh photo
  share: Twitter Facebook Reddit Digg
filed under: #Hollywood

Yep, that's right. Not content with producing three absolutely horrendous movies bearing the Resident Evil name, it seems as if Hollywood is getting ready for a fourth, as confirmed by series "star" Milla Jovovich. While speaking to a crowd of paparazzi filth, Jovovich confirmed that the crap movies will be getting a new sequel and that shooting begins soon.

"We're going to start shooting at the end of the year," confirms Jovovich in a video contained after the jump. When asked which one it was by a member of the paparazzi scum, Jovovich simply said, "Four."

Resident Evil: Afterlife was mentioned about three years ago but there thankfully hadn't been much talk of it since then. Reports say that Jovovich later confirmed that "four" was indeed Afterlife, and that the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on September 17, 2010, whether we like it or not.

I don't really mind, but every time a new Resident Evil film hits my local movie theater, the local area becomes contaminated for the next four years.

Oh look, it's the ugly he/she that had that one good movie with Bruce Willis. Fifth Element was awesome, but everything she has done since has been forgettable.

@Usedtabe. You, sir, are correct. Fifth Element was awesome and that's about it. Okay...except maybe that time she kicked that dog in the first RE movie. I remember geekin' out to that back in the day. *le sigh*

Why must they taint my favourite videogame series with this filth?

Oh yeah, Capcom likes money too much not to whore everything out without a thought about quality control.

My eyes will bleed again soon. The thing is, I will go see it, even if it's crap, to confirm it is crap. I just have to go.

I wish she did more stuff like the Russian chick from Zoolander, and that was her career.

I enjoy the movies enough to rent or buy the DVD when it comes out, but I wouldn't drop any clams to see them in a theater. The movies do need more Wesker!

Whatever dudes. I <3 these movies, I <3 mila jovovich. Any chick that actually kicks ass is ok in my book. Unlike Megan fox who did Jack shit in transformers two. Not saying that acting isn't hard, jus saying her role was "I'm Gunna run" instead of "i'm gunna kick ass"

Maybe it will be set in Africa and we can have a hot piece of ass running around looking like a jungle bunny to be her sidekick. You know, the yin to her yang, the pretty to her ugly, the feminine to her butch.

Honestly, I liked the first one. I thought it was not that bad. It was a mediocre movie. Not terrible, not great. Then the second one came out. I was into it until I saw the Tyrant was wearing black leather. It looked ridiculous.

I died a little inside when the climactic final battle happened. A silly German bad guy forcing two former "friends" to fight. Oh, yes, the tyrant does have a heart and it grew ever so much when he didn't kill her.

I have yet to see the third one.

@Mikeyed: That wasn't Tyrant. It was Nemesis. Hence the "Stars" phrase and REsident Evil 3 leather outfit he was wearing.

You are aware that jungle bunny is a racist term, right?
Usedtabe's Avatar
Usedtabe at 07/03/2009 10:42
@Soulwax: Yes, which is why I used it as a backhanded joke @ the RE:5 "racism" extravaganza. But, if it makes you feel better, I'll pull a stereotypical black comedian joke out and talk about how white people dance funny. Cool?

@Kris S: Cry me a river. I was using the term sarcastically to make fun of the racism of Sheva's tribal outfit. Go be a forum activist somewhere else. Or better yet, I got a whole bunch of ARA(anti-racist action) stickers you can pass out if that will make you feel better.

Cry yourself a river. I don't see why I should have to listen to a fat white fuck make *jokey* racist comments on a gaming site.

I was making fun of Sheva's racist tribal outfit. Sorry the term offended you, but grow some thicker skin. Don't know who this "fat, white fuck" is, but maybe you should check your own racism in at the door, eh?

It was a joke? Well I'll take it as me not getting it but you keep being the hilarious guy that you obviously are.

Also, the comedian joke thing - I'm not black. I was just worried incase you were using that term out in the real world. Wouldn't want you getting your face caved in.

Usedtabe at 07/03/2009 10:58
@Soul: Well, thanks for the PSA. Again, sorry the term offensed so many, but I do see the term fitting considering what they made Sheva look like in her "tribal" outfit. Also, I'm not stupid enough to use the term out in public, but I'm also not some little gamer nerd who would get "my face caved in".

I think that the RE movies are being made by very powerful trolls in Hollywood (also capcom?). And from the looks at this thread they are sure getting their money worth.

Really, I don't have a problem with the movies. If there isn't anything else out that week I'd go see it. And then not bitch about it because I don't give a shit.

I've seen the first one. The only thing I remember about it are those dudes getting totally sliced up by those laser beams. That was pretty cool.

As for the rest, I just haven't been able to bring myself to care enough to watch them.

The first one was passable, the second I never got into that much but the chick with the tight blue tube top definitely kept my interest, never saw the third. Milla was good in The Fifth Element, and also don't forget she was in Dazed and Confused and had like 2 lines. Its interesting I remember her more for those 2 movies than the Resident Evil ones.

Also, Milla Jovovich is awesome. Check out her music sometime.
