Fresh from Capcom's event Captivate '09 comes this rousing trailer for Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations, the spin-off from the crazy popular Phoenix Wright games that features the purple-wearing prosecuting attorney. Wait, why am I telling you this. You already know this.
The trailer only shows us about four or five English scenes. If you look close, you'll see some untranslated shots toward the end of the video. So they threw this together for the event. So what? We're still excited, right?

Meet the rest of the team
I'm hoping everything falls into place logically, I loved PW1 because of this but couldn't stand the other 2.
In PW1 it all made sense, you could use logic and solve the case, in PW2 and 3 you knew what you had to do but it came out wrong, later you realize you had to jump through a bunch of bells and whistles and THEN you could do what you needed, the actual pattern to figure out when you could present, well, good luck figuring that out.
Apollo was just flat out terrible, he just wasn't interesting though that was mostly due to Phoenix doing everything, hopefully the next game gives him a chance to shine.
Is this the first game in the series to have character sprites wandering around in the environments? I had thought the Ace Attorney games were mostly first-person.
YES! YES! YES! YES! The last 4 games (that might well be called "Phoenix Wright's life cycle", I didn't care Apollo at all) were great and since this one was announced I'm waiting for the US release.
I guess the name was changed to this one so it could fit in the "Ace Attorney" series (japanese name is still related with the "Gyakuten" to the series).
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I hope Phoenix and/or Apollo Justice make appearances
OBJECTION!!!!!!!!!!!
What is it with Miles and people wanting to shoot him? Anyway, I can't wait to play it, it will keep me busy until Apollo Justice 2 is released.
I can't wait for the game to finally get released next month in Japan. It's going to be epic.
Edgeworth is an attorney. He practices law. Perfect Prosecutor would have been a better name though to separate the two series a bit more.
Eureka?
Did they announce any sort of release window?
It took them long enough to announce it, but I'm still sad we won't get any of the spiffy goodies the Japanese release has when it gets here. T_T
Do want.

On a side note the subtitle is kinda lame...
This is officially my most-wanted game of 2009. For realz.
I just need to concentrate on getting the second and third games, as well as Apollo Justice... >_>
