When I first posted about this game, I was without even one screenshot to show you. That forced me to create some mildly embarrassing fan art for Mighty Milky Way. Luckily for me, the guys at WayForward appreciated the effort, and granted me an interview and some exclusive pre-production artwork, which I'll be sharing with you tomorrow afternoon.
In the meantime, check out this fact sheet and these official screens. I don't know about you, but I'm more in love with the game than ever. The screenshots look amazing, but that was to be expected. It's the promise of a J-Pop ballad, some double rainbows, and "roiling chaos" that has me really pumped.
No, that's not a typo. "Rolling chaos" is a Katamari thing. "Roiling chaos" is a Mighty Milky Way thing, and it promises to be awesome.
Are you ready to pulse some planets and soar through space? With a pocket full of planet candy and a heart full of ennui, green-skinned cutie-pie Luna needs your help to accomplish her secret mission! Prepare for fever-pitched puzzles in another mighty game from WayForward!
Luna uses her magical staff to create and destroy planets on a whim. Explode vicious space monsters, avoid sizzling electric barriers, and grab all the delicious planet candy you can. But watch out for the T-Rex, Luna’s arch-nemesis! His laser eyes are matched only by the awkwardness of his and Luna’s sketchy past.
But enough incessant blathering! Let’s stare into the sun with stoic tears and embrace the roiling chaos that is life!

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
This does look interesting and rather strange; I'll look forward to possibly learning more about what the heck some of that info means. Thanks for taking the time to spread the word about this, Jonathan.
Mighty Flip Champs and Shantae were headed up by the Bozon brothers. I'm not sure how involved those two are in Mighty Milky Way.
