Midway 2007 Holiday Preview Event photo

I'm writing this from an Amtrak Acela express -- somewhere between New York City and Baltimore, -- on my way home from today's Midway 2007 Holiday Preview Event. Held in the NYC-based Shop Studios, this was Midway's last big Holiday load to blow for the press, including journos from various outlets, including Men's Health, Source Magazine, and well ... us.

While there were no wild surprises, this was a pretty great chance to get some last-minute hands-on time with some upcoming Midway titles we'll be seeing this Holiday. I had some hands-on time with the latest build of the PlayStation 3 version of Unreal Tournament III; Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Zombie Ninja Pro-Am for the PlayStation 2; new Blacksite: Area 51 levels on the Xbox 360; Ultimate Mortal Kombat DS; and more. Oh, I also had a few drinks and ate some pretty decent cheese.

Stay tuned for full coverage and impressions of some (if not all ... and more!) of these titles. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to try to sleep off the nine Stranglehold-themed tequila-heavy drinks Midway "forced" upon me.
