Midnight Club: Los Angeles hits the brakes, release date pushed back photo

In a recent investors conference call, Take-Two CFO Lainie Goldstein crushed hearts with a desire for speed by revealing that the release Rockstar's Midnight Club: Los Angeles has been pushed back. The game will not hit PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the PlayStation Portable (as Midnight Club: LA Remix) on October 21.

The delay is due to wanting to release the game in "a more favorable market window." Translation: they can make more money if they release it closer to the holiday. Makes sense, and it's good to hear that it's not because of a snag in development. When we went hands on with the game a few months ago it was shaping up nicely, and the build Rockstar had running at PAX looked polished and just about ready to ship.

While you wait, be sure to check out our hands-on preview of Midnight Club: Los Angeles

The PAX version looked great, I don't see why they're holding back

You would think that developers would shy away from the holidays, when competition is fierce. I'd rather have a great game go out during a slow time.

This game has been pushed back so many times.. maybe it just seems like that because I want it so bad. :/
