Microsoft to show off 'new, exciting' project at Comic-Con photo

You're going to Comic-Con next weekend, aren't you? I am. Microsoft is. And this is a good time for you to get your hands on some of the stuff we saw at E3, like  Alan Wake (yum), The Beatles: Rock Band, Left 4 Dead 2, Halo 3: ODST and Shadow Complex, says Kotaku. But there's something else that Microsoft has up their sleeves for the event.

On the evening of the 23rd of July, Microsoft has planned a media reception where they say they will be showing a "new, exciting unannounced project from one of our top franchises." That could mean a new game, or it could mean a new...I don't know, a new controller or something. I think it's a game. New game announcements aren't typical for Comic-Con, but it seems like as good of a place as anywhere else these days.

We'll keep you posted.

Does this have anything to do with the South Park XBLA game post from today, or is South Park neither "new" nor "exciting"?

Something about Natal that isn't Milo or Burnout?
I hope so.

Top franchise? Maybe it's a new, natal compatible, Fable? Though Microsoft will probably want Halo on natal as well. Rare (studio) even?

They need to announce something like LBP and ModNationRacers. Kodu is not enough.

"New, exciting game"

Yes!

"...of one of our top franchises."

Ugh

Wait, that means there's a possibility of a new Conker game. Here's hoping

A playable demo of Natal.

Might as well put the naysayers to bed now cause it's a good time to do showcase it.

Hopefully it's nothing for Natal, that would be extremely disappointing. Something that isn't Halo, but isn't for Natal would be ideal.
