Do you know what a glasshole is? That's a street term for a person that uses Google Glass. I like the term, but I'm not hating on Glass users. Have you tried Google Glass. I have, and I think it's really neat.
It seems that Microsoft also thinks the idea is neat. WSJ says that Microsoft are working on some kind of eyewear-style computing of their own, and that it's currently being tested. In fact, they're closely watching all of the wearable computing space.
A source familiar with this project said Microsoft has asked component makers in Asia to supply cameras and other components for prototypes. They did caution that the device may never reach market.
Imagine if it did come to market. With Microsoft's push for Xbox integration in all of their products, this eyewear could have us walking around like zombies while gaming.
