Microsoft teams with PUMA for Forza Motorsport 3 photo

Forza Motorsport 3 is Microsoft's upcoming Xbox 360 racing sim. PUMA is a brand and company best known for its athletic shoes and sportswear. Microsoft is teaming up with PUMA for a global partnership for Forza 3. Why not?

Well, Forza's about getting in a car to get from point A to point B... and fast. Sneakers and sportswear are about not being lazy, which would mean your ass should walk instead of getting in a car and going fast. Burn some calories. Get your sweat on.

But they're teaming up anyway, which means select PUMA Concept Stores will hold Forza 3 preview nights prior to launch. It means that Microsoft employees promoting the game are going to be decked out in PUMA gear. It means Forza content is going to be made available on PUMAMotorsport.com. Oh, there's the racing connection!

Still, we were hoping for an actual, you know, puma in Forza 3. It hits at October 23. There's still time, Microsoft.

How awesome would it be if you get into an online match and all of a sudden next to you is, instead of a tricked out racing car, a man riding a large predatory cat.

D'awwwww... =3

Wouldn't it be better if they teamed up with, ya know, a racing company?

I expect the Ford Puma will be in this game.

I think we need to have a kitten day here on Dtoid, in which every single header image is a picture like this one. Lots and lots of ocelots.

@Jon B

puma is a huge sponsor of motorsports, as you can probably see from the site. shoes and clothes are pretty broad. if they chose to team up with a racing company, that would go against all the other cars in the game.....you know, like the ones that arent involved with that one company.

gt5 partnered up with nascar (and likely all nascar sponsors), so forza3 partners up with puma to counter. wait, wtf?

@Qraze: This is obviously only a publicity partnership. Either way, NASCAR isn't exclusive to GT5 at all. You can go to iRacing and participate in official NASCAR tournaments.

@SDog554
I was referring to the likes of TOYO tyres, or a livery design company, a la NFS:Nitro.
In fact, considering they are pushing the user content bit a lot, why DIDN'T they get sponsored livery designs...?
