While the line-up for this year's Summer of Arcade had previously been announced, we weren't quite so sure when the games would release and for how much. Microsoft's Larry Hryb has the scoop:

• July 18: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD (1200 Microsoft Points)
• July 25: Wreckateer (800 Microsoft Points)
• August 1: Deadlight (1200 Microsoft Points)
• August 8: Hybrid (1200 Microsoft Points)
• August 15: Dust: An Elysian Tail (1200 Microsoft Points)

Having kept myself from hearing too much about it, Deadlight is what I'm most eager to see. Between the 1980s Pacific Northwest setting and zombie theme set against a puzzle-platformer backdrop, I'm already in. Note: if you grab any three of these games, you'll get 400 Microsoft Points back. That's doable.

Eerily enough, I'm interested in exactly 3 games here: Deadlight, Hybrid, & Dust. I think Microsoft may be spying on me...Well, moreso than usual.

Seriously though, I do love the XBLA promotions like this, such as this year's House Party. Wish they'd do more...

The only thing that worries me about Deadlight was the narrator. In one gameplay video I saw, he would just not fucking shut up and ruined the atmosphere with a constant stream of lame comments. I hope it's not as bad in the final version, or can be turned off.

Still looks great gameplay wise and will get it on day one, but that narrator might tarnish it for me. I hope not.

Honestly, I feel like I don't even have the time for these little games anymore, as short as most of them are. I don't even have enough time for all the AAA games I want to play. Unless it's PixelJunk or Pac-Man, I probably won't be buying it. *Shrug*

Wreckateer looks really good and Dust looks awesome too, and I might just get Tony Hawk if the reviews say that it has the same feel as some of the original Tony Hawk games (2 and 3 would be optimal).. Hybrid is the only one I'm not certain about yet.. So yeah, getting that 400pts back is doable, though wish it were more, since most of these games are $15..
