One of our loyal readers sent us a tip today concerning a personal invite he received to take part of a not-so-super-secret Microsoft plan to start beta testing the Games for Windows Live program that will finally connect PC gamers and console gamers. Here's what Microsoft had to say:
Are you interested in being part of a select group that is invited to help beta test a new service that lets Windows gamers connect with their friends on the Xbox through the LIVE gaming network? If you are, please read on.
The registration period for this upcoming beta testing opportunity will only be available for a limited time. To be considered you will need to complete the Games for Windows - LIVE Beta application survey.
Those who are selected will be contacted with more details in the coming weeks. All eligible beta participants who are approved for the beta will be entered in a drawing(s) for prizes.
If you know of someone else who may be interested in participating please forward this mail to them.
Are you shaking in anticipation of the eventual PC vs console gaming wars? Who will reign as the FPS king: the keyboard and mouse or the 360 controller?

...To be more on-topic though, it's probable they'll nerf the Kb/M's functionality so badly that those stupid controllers will be a match for them in terms of balance.

Anyways... Controller > Keyboard (its just that way for some people, you dont have to be a dick)

But people using keyboards will easily rape those mofos with controllers. I look forward to wiping the floor with console gamers. I hope they have voice over IP as well so I can talk shit as I stab them.
