So I just got back from this great little event Microsoft held at Blvd in NYC to celebrate their upcoming holiday titles. The event was nicely laid out with free booze and a ton of games set up all over. But I had only one thing on my mind: Gears of War. After making the rounds and chatting it up with a few of the other gaming journos I knew there (even Chris Grant from Joystiq), I found out where Gears was and took my Stella and parked my ass there the entire night. Highlights of my Gears of War multiplayer killing spree: the curb stomp. I can't tell you how f'ing satisfying it is to do that to the opposing player. Each time I would do it to someone in the room, I physically got up and yelled, "Curb stomp bitch!" Oh, what a glorious night. Thank you Microsoft. Above is the sweet little swag bag they handed out as we left. Check out that wireless headset, mmmm. Now excuse me while I rock sh*t in Gears.
