Microsoft is NOT considering Blu-ray: Rumors denied photo

Microsoft has stomped down recent rumors that it will consider Blu-ray support with the Xbox 360 following the death knell of HD DVD, Gizmodo reports. News that The 'Soft may create a Blu-ray player for the 360 if consumer demand is high enough was countered by the company, which claims that quotes were taken out of context to create the story. In fact, Microsoft gave five reasons why the story is rubbish:

1. The "headline misconstrued the context of what [was] said."
2. Microsoft is "not thinking about it."
3. It is "fairly definitive" Microsoft is not doing it.
4. Microsoft has "no plans" to build anything Blu-ray.
5. Microsoft is "totally committed to HD DVD."

Totally committed to HD DVD? Either Microsoft knows something we don't, or it's totally nuts. Stop me if I'm wrong, but hasn't HD DVD failed miserably up until this point? We're not going to tell Microsoft how to run itself, but considering that Blu-ray is looking like the way forward for hi-def formats, some consideration of support may be wise.

Then again, I really couldn't care less about the stupid DVD format wars, so maybe I have missed something that still makes HD DVD the way forward. Despite what MS says however, surely it has to be at least considering it, unless pride is getting in the way of sense.

@MrHaVoC

first the question was about the evil difference not rootkit difference learn to read .

second ... you are so fanboy that you won't admit that your wrong

third ... M$ would tell you that shit is the real deal ... you would eat some and ask for more.

to make a no sense comment like yours .... sony put rootkit just to make sure that you get only a good product ... not an illegal crappy copy because they care about you and wants you to be a legit personn ... see i can tell stupid stuff too just like you ;-)

Sorry I didn't mean to confuse you with your own citation which you obviously didn't read since you don't recognize it. The comments from MS in my previous post were copy and pasted directly from the link WHICH YOU PROVIDED. If all that shit was a lie or bogus info you were the one who provided it. Also please read and comprehend the comments which I provided before you respond. I intended to show the evilness of one company as opposed to the other by posting the quote from Sony's Hesse about not caring about installing malicious software onto users' comps as opposed to the MS comment about secretly installing software to make sure that their users comps were NOT comprimised and would remain operational. Once again, you were the one who provided the info which I used so eat a dick. The added nonsense comment about Sony and their rootkit didn't help your cause, which up tp this point I imagine is to look like an idiot. Well you got your way, congrats you look stupid. Well played sir, well played ;D

I have realized now that you will never be smart enough to get this through your head so I guess I can stop. I already answered the question of who was more evil then backed it up with your own citations. You need to take a debate or public speaking class to realize that you sound dumb and have disproved your own statements. You didn't even respond to anything I said about the links you provided which show that MS was trying to help their customers by making sure that their systems remained secure. Back up what you say or you will always look like a dumbass forever and ever and ever.....
Sign up for that class and when you acquire some knowledge then come back here and try to argue your point. Until then you are just some dumb guy on the internet. Think up another word besides fanboy too. I don't even really like MS it's just that I hate Sony so much.
