Microsoft finally ditching MS Points for local currencies

No more buying those pre-paid cards then.

Microsoft has confirmed that they will be ditching MS points on the Xbox One for local currencies. Finally, no more buying pre-paid cards and having odd amounts left over for you to squander on avatar items.

Another bit of good news is that you'll only need a single Xbox Live Gold account for a household. That's sure to save some money if you've got family members using your console.
