At a press conference today in Tokyo, Microsoft decided to drop a press conference bomb of 31 games for the Xbox 360.
After patting its own back and mentioning that over 1 million Xbox 360 units have been sold in Japan, Microsoft announced a "Thank You" campaign. Over 1 million MS Points will be given away as part of the promotion, along with a free -- wait for it -- dashboard theme.
So what of these 31 one games? Was there a good reason I stayed up until 2 AM Eastern to bring you this information? Hit the jump and find out.
Magna Carta 2 (Namco Bandai, August 6 release)
Tekken 6 (Namco Bandai, Fall 2009)

How many games was that? 24? Well, Microsoft ends the press conference with a montage blast of titles, all of which should have you flipping your lids over. This includes: H.A.W.X.; Wanted: Weapons of Fate; Top Spin 3; Bionic Commando; MLB 2K9; Elder Scrolls: Shivering Isles... wait, what? Oh, this is ridiculous. A Gears of War 2 localization? Jesus.
We're positive 31 -- if not more -- games were shown off at today's Microsoft press conference. We're also positive that anything we missed won't be, well, missed.

Sure, these are mostly videos and announcements but I'm all for seeing more about these games.
Also Samurai Spirits Shin is the worst crap ever.
maybe i've seen grave of the fireflies a little too many times.. or i have a soul.
Wait, what?
@16bitmonster:
Wow. Now that you mention it, I'm kind of shocked at my own headline when you put it THAT way. Really, that wasn't even close to what I was thinking.
And I don't know why but I was expecting some major bomb to be droped from this conference, well there's still E3 so I guess they're not gonna do anything to drastic with that around the corner(but dammit MS your making it really difficult to write E3 expectations here).
Very excited for that and Garou.
Thought they already had with this year's exclusive lineup?
I think this is Microsoft's ante for pushing into Japan, and honestly it is a very week ante on their part. Most of the standalone games are coming out on PS3 as well and the majority of those games are XBLA games, which isn't really that big of a reason to pick up a console.
12...13...doesn't matter. You're still going to lose. ;)
Color me extremely unimpressed.
i just got rid of my 360 and im not really sure i see anything on the list to be pulling me back.. good try tho big M.
Don't worry, I was offended by the title also.
@Nick Chester
I don't know how editing an article works, but it would have been great if you changed the title the moment you realized how the title could sound to some people.
