Microsoft's Major Nelson sent out a tweet that lets us know that they're aware of a color output issue some users began seeing after installing the Fall Xbox 360 update. The technically inclined members of Destructoid's readership tell us that the issue surrounds a degrading in color in video playback. Some say that the color of video is now washed out and dull, though I never noticed an issue. Ignorance truly is bliss.
MS is on the case, Nelson says:
We’re aware of the colorspace issue w/ some Xbox video apps & are working on a fix. No ETA yet but we hope to have an update soon.
Be honest, though. How many of you even noticed a color hit after the update?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
MS, come the fuck on. Get your shit together.
many damn ads using too many damn colors.
That's a REAL issue to address instead of people bitching about ads. All of those "ads" are shit that you can buy on the system. There's one square per page for REAL ads for outside products. This is no different from how many ads there were on the last version of the dashboard. Actually, there are probably LESS total ads when you factor in how many of those boxes were supposed "ads" on the last dashboard not to mention there were definitely more REAL ads back then too.
I'm ok with the Rocksmith ads and such in the one "other" square.
I wasn't ok with the 2 weeks of constant Chuck Norris World of Warcraft ads - a game you can't get on the system.
There aren't that many ads and indie games are in the same place they always were.
Legitimate complaint: Because of the new dashboard, I can no longer watch Netflix with friends without the added trouble of trying desperately to sync up our movies.
No. They're not..
Watch the video.

1080p playback is now limited for Zune Video.
Call somebody, email somebody. You, as a gaming news blog, have the power to get this issue some attention. I can call Netflix once a day every day and "have my complaint noted" but if some news sites start to raise a stink and demand some answers, maybe something will be done about it.
Come on Dale. Get somebody on the case! Make Jim do it. He'll get some results.
This^^^
I don't even know where to look
They've degraded all the video except for their paid zune service:

I'd be like 3 years after you bought your car, your dealership released an updated degrading your speakers unless you're using their paid music service. I can't imagine how that is legal.
Come on Destructiod! Stop leaving out the main story.
Maybe the Major needs to tweet about how horrible XBL's infrastructure is when acting as a relay for other services, altogether...
@Magnalon
HA! NO! Hoodie Girl still guards the fortress of Indie.
"I wasn't ok with the 2 weeks of constant Chuck Norris World of Warcraft ads - a game you can't get on the system."
Not only that, which is VERY funny and so sadly true, but the fact that it was the ONLY ad to pop up at all, was equally terrifying.
@Freetouch
Thank you, I'm happy to hear I wasn't the only one with that YouTube problem.
@MrAndy
Netflix may have made the app (and seriously, they've been working with MS and XBL for how long now?), but there really is something about the way XBL handles (and has always handled) these things that mucks everything up as its passing it along to their customers. I'm not trying to be a "GRR FUCK THEM, I'M PAYING FOR BOTH SERVICES!!@I@!!?&!" jerk about it, but the writings been there for a long time, for a lot of people. I mean, seriously, the 3DS app works far better then the 360, and I'm just about near making it my go-to Netflix source when I'm away from the TV -if it didn't make it next to impossible to try to watch it with my roommate, lol. Seeing as we use Netflix as our major TV/Movie source (forgoing cable) and the 360 is supposed to have become the "go to entertainment source for everything" I hate to wonder what things were like if they were only half assing it...
