Maybe they could acknowledge the fact that the new dash is like 75% ads. That's the REAL problem with it. :/

I wasn't ok with the 2 weeks of constant Chuck Norris World of Warcraft ads - a game you can't get on the system.

There aren't that many ads and indie games are in the same place they always were.
Legitimate complaint: Because of the new dashboard, I can no longer watch Netflix with friends without the added trouble of trying desperately to sync up our movies.

the color does seem a bit washed-out in the videos now, even if you run the video off a USB through the stock video player app.
actually, the only problem i seem to have with live now (besides everything dohoho!) Is that youtube continuously crashes or stops loading movies about 2 minutes in, but its totally fine if restart the video and fast forward past the part that froze originally.

I used to watch the Inside Xbox and other videos on the old dashboard, but I no longer feel the desire to explore the dashboard content with the new look.
Yeah, I haven't minded any of the dashboard iterations until this one. I really don't like/enjoy it. Ad-centric and kind of a pain to get around. The blade system was my favourite so far. Here's hoping a new and better update comes sooner rather than later.

I would REALLY love to see more sites get on Microsoft and Netflix's ass about the removal of Netflix parties.
Call somebody, email somebody. You, as a gaming news blog, have the power to get this issue some attention. I can call Netflix once a day every day and "have my complaint noted" but if some news sites start to raise a stink and demand some answers, maybe something will be done about it.

I'm fine with pretty much everything that came with the Metro update other than Netflix. I mean, I know it wasn't Microsoft's fault (Netflix makes their own app), but god damn is it a GIANT leap backwards.

I'd be like 3 years after you bought your car, your dealership released an updated degrading your speakers unless you're using their paid music service. I can't imagine how that is legal.

Washed out color is far from the only issue that update had with video playback.
Maybe the Major needs to tweet about how horrible XBL's infrastructure is when acting as a relay for other services, altogether...

Netflix may have made the app (and seriously, they've been working with MS and XBL for how long now?), but there really is something about the way XBL handles (and has always handled) these things that mucks everything up as its passing it along to their customers. I'm not trying to be a "GRR FUCK THEM, I'M PAYING FOR BOTH SERVICES!!@I@!!?&!" jerk about it, but the writings been there for a long time, for a lot of people. I mean, seriously, the 3DS app works far better then the 360, and I'm just about near making it my go-to Netflix source when I'm away from the TV -if it didn't make it next to impossible to try to watch it with my roommate, lol. Seeing as we use Netflix as our major TV/Movie source (forgoing cable) and the 360 is supposed to have become the "go to entertainment source for everything" I hate to wonder what things were like if they were only half assing it...

WOW! After reading that Eurogamer article, it's clear I've been had! From now on I'm using my PS3 for any and all streaming video aside from Nelson updates. This is a completely ridiculous move.
