Even after death, Michael Jackson has found a way to get into small boys' bedrooms. While you don't often see movies and PS3s bundled together, Sony has not let slide an opportunity to capitalize on Michael Jackson's death, tossing the mawkish This Is It movie into a PlayStation 3 box.
Sony Pictures is publishing the film on Blu-ray and DVD, so has seen fit to offer a package that includes the film, a PS3 system, a DualShock 3, and all the essential cables. Unfortunately, a PS3 with Michael Jackson's face on it has not been commissioned, even though it's black and plastic, which would have been perfect.
The bundle hits Japan on January 27. We await word on a US release.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
You're right! When he reads this he's going to be so upset!
Surely a "2012", "Zombieland" or "Angels & Demons" bundle would make more sense?
Hahaha!
I hope to hear word of this stateside. As a MJ fan I really liked the movie (even though it dragged on) and while I wasn't planning on buying it if given to me for free with my eventual PS3 purchase I won't complain.
Maybe he'll come to your room from the beyond this is gonna be a "thriller"
People whine about making jokes about dead people, never mind the fact that people were harsh as *fuck* to him when he was alive and are now acting like hypocrites and pretending they always loved him.
Surely it's MORE tasteful to make jokes AFTER his death, now that he's not alive to read them and get upset. I argue that what I have done in this thread is not only righteous, but HONORABLE, and something that perhaps Jesus would approve of.
While I love to disagree and call a lot of your views well... I couldn't agree more about this point.
Get a life, really.
I have to agree with Jim 100% on this one. There was literally no joke or nasty things that were left untold about Michael Jackson in his lifetime that I am shocked as to how many people how are out of the closet with their praise and defense of him. Where the hell were you people when he was still alive?
Incidentally Jim, as someone who has actually always liked Michael Jackson, I really did enjoy the comments you made. :)
Judging someone for something personal in his life which you haven't witnessed yourself is just plain gossip...which this means "get a life"
And so will you be. And so will I be. Jesus, why must we always hold some sort of reverence for dead people, no matter who they were? Death's about the only thing we all have in common, so why the Hell should we ascribe some sort of false sacredness to it?
Does every thread on this site need to become some bullshit debate? Seriously?
Jim? Can I punch them in the face? Can I?
LOL Wasn't being serious, but what you say rings does truth. Unfortunately, death in our society (especially with famous people) thrive on hypocrisy... ehh, whadaya gonna do? I'm Jesus, and I approved this reply.
The rest of your comment is silly though. I am not "judging" him, I am making a joke. Just because you personally liked his music doesn't mean I shouldn't be allowed to make jokes about a guy who is too dead to give a shit.
Let's concentrate on the living
Sony made a Michael Jackson bundle that's all there is to know
You need some brains to catch up to the main concept of the whole comment...too bad
This is the best thing I have read all day. Kudos Jim.
You know who else is dead? We must NEVER speak ill of him or any other villains of history! No sir.
But in all seriousness, was this package even necessary?
Completely unnecessary in the U.S. but in Japan, where Michael Jackson mania is still gigantic, I can see it selling out very quickly.
Also, people who want Jim to tone it down and be "neutral" are really missing the point and should read more Morphine Nation.
@sprldr: I've noticed that you're trolling through Jim's stories posting that same comment. Do you really have NOTHING better to do with your time?
the last one i can think of was MGS4
