They always just throw lies into that PSN features section. I remember that Skate 2 said it has PS Home support, and pretty much every other feature out there... it doesn't. never trust PSN features on the back of a box.

MGS4 already has (for all intents and purposes) trophies that give objectives or influence the way replays are done, in the form of emblems.
They do not count towards your PSN level or show up on your profile and I wish Konami had not teased about implementing such support if they are not going to follow through. I would like them to show up for my own completionism and posterity, but I don't want to have to do another big boss playthrough...

i would rather have a Subsistence like edition with all the DLC on the package, theater mode(i love the snake eraser ^^), Boss Rush mode, a new European Extreme Difficulty, an extra mini mode(kinda like Ape Escape or Monster Hunter like).

I am that person Cla knows, however he forgot to mention that I played the demo and didn't care for the game. What I had said was I would play it if it had trophies.

You can get Platinums in Uncharted/Infamous/Ninja Gaiden Sigma all day long, but no one can carry the title of "PS3-Fanboy" without playing what is considered by most to be not only the best PS3 game so far, but the greatest game in all of Playstation history.
And anyway, you're not the only one who won't touch this game without Trophies. It's alarming how many people also fall into this category, and it's depressing that this is what too many of the gaming community has become. If you were getting actually prizes or money, I would understand. But too many people are...

Microsoft did the same thing with printing "XBOX LIVE" on the corner of every single-player game on their console. Hell, Silent Hill: Homecoming doesn't even have an Xbox LIVE presence or page to call its own. Isn't that wierd?

No, this is NOT a common thing for games regardless of trophies. I just picked up the Greatest Hits version of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction in the new cover art format, and it doesn't say anything about trophies. That game never had trophies, and they weren't patched in afterward either.
Why the fuck would anyone make a game with no trophies, if you can't increase your PSN level why would you bother playing it?

We're talking about a Kojima game here. Any update is very important. Y'all remember what he did with a simple controller in MGS. In every other game the controller is used for input. Kojima used it for output. It was a very small but amazing thing back then. I can totally see Kojima doing something amazing with a simple thing as a trophy. Don't ask me what though, I'm not the genius here.

There are to many games that I think I'll have a great time playing (most with trophies which is a plus to me) for me to spend my gaming time on a title that I'm told I'll enjoy and am kind of doubtful I will.

I hope there will be a director's cut for MGS4, like the Subsistence version of MGS3. For 3 they added a totally dynamic camera, and if I were to guess, I think they would add 3-D graphics for 4. Personally, an addition like that would make this game worth buying again for me. MGS4 is one of the best games I've ever played, but I don't really care about trophies. It's been more than 2 years since MGS4 came out; shouldn't they be getting ready to re-release it with something more substantial than just trophies?
