The previously rumored trophy support for the Greatest Hits edition of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots seems to be [not] real. Earlier this month, all we had to go on was a picture of part of a game box with no evidence where it came from or where it was taken.
Because you guys are awesome, one of our readers took a picture of the Greatest Hits box in an Abstergo-owned Walmart store today. He tried to include as much of the back cover as possible, as well as a Walmart tag and part of the front cover. Check out the full size image here.
No word yet on any upcoming patch for owners of the normal MGS4, and my European Platinum edition of the game definitely did not have trophies. I just checked if an update was available and nope, no update.
[Thanks a lot Matt for taking the effort!]
[Update: apparently "Trophies" gets posted on game boxes even if they have none. I had no idea and that is ridiculous. A few of you confirmed that the Greatest Hits edition still has no trophies. Sorry about that, I almost got excited. Thanks everyone for pointing it out!]
