Metroid Prime Trilogy coming to Europe later photo

Many times we here at Destructoid don't pay enough attention to Europe, and that's mostly because other than housing some really great developers Europe gets the butt end of the gaming world's stick. Nintendo is probably the worst perpetrator of said crime, often delaying games far, far beyond their US and Japanese release dates much to the chagrin of Jim "I don't live in Europe anymore" Sterling.

However, Europe does get games eventually and Metroid Prime Trilogy will be no exception. If you've been waiting patiently for the Wii-vamped (c wut i did thar) Metroids you're just going to have to wait a little bit longer as the game(s) has been announced for September 4. Sure the Japanese already have all three and the US will be getting it about two weeks before you, but you keep your chin up Europe, one day Nintendo will love you too. No word on if your packaging will be as sexy as ours either.

Actually, Nintendo has been surprisingly kind to Europe by giving them titles such as Disaster and Another Code while North American gamers get screwed over for a change.

If it's just two weeks then I dont mind. But this bullshit about waiting for months is just something that I cant tolerate.

Europe got Another Code R and Tingle, so I guess the grass is greener on the other side of the ocean.

Samus looks unusually hot in that picture. This is the first time I've genuinely thought about feeding Samus my bone.

Oh come on, its less than two week. Are you really trying to make a big deal, over less than two weeks in the difference? Wii Sports Resort come out in Europe two days before North America. Oh my god, what the scandal. Someone at Destructoid get on that story ASAP, I'm sure you can make it anti-Nintendo somehow!

Honestly, these days we Eurofags (official term) got very little to complain about. There might be the odd delay here or there (or strange things such as getting LocoRoco 2 in ordinary retail copies whereas the US apparently only got a downloadable version), but it's usually nothing especially irritating. Back in the 1990s we had some serious problems, though. I remember reading a 5 page long and very enthusiastic review of Final Fantasy 6 only to find an "IMPORT ONLY" label at the end of the text, which effectively ensured that I wouldn't be playing the game for another 8-10 years or so...

That's a really good look for Samus Aran. I think Nintendo made her look totally unsexy in the series. Where's that image from?

@ Jayson:
You should check out some of the other renderings that artist has done. I love the work he did in a piece ("One Girl In All The World") I happened to buy last year during AX in LA. =transfuse is the name on DeviantART, but can't remember his real name. He does a really good job :D

I guess it's great for all those gamers who skimped out on all three games.
