Metroid Prime Trilogy art book is totally foxy photo

It's already been confirmed twice over that Metroid Prime Trilogy comes in a sexy box and is a hell of a deal -- $49.99 for three Metroid Prime games on one disc for the Wii. That's real talk.

The "Collector's Edition" (which appears to be every edition, since there isn't a "Not Collector's Edition" as far as we know) even comes with an art book, of which we now have some details. The booklet features five double-sided panels, printed with metallic ink on glossy paper. It'll feature sketches and concept art from the development of the games, along with the history of Samus and the Metroid series. Total length when unfolded? 36 inches, so make some room on your coffee table.

Hey Nintendo, this is how you market to your hardcore audience -- we're eating this stuff up. Bravo.

Metallica ink? I didn't realize that they were starting to diversify into printing supplies. :)

All of the awesome stuff they're putting out is honestly making me excited for this package when it wasn't really on my radar beforehand. Yep, effective marketing at work here.

36 inches = 91.44 centimeters, if you don't live in the couple of nations that resist using a measurement system that makes sense.

And I was already buying that, it's a great bonus. I will frame that!

My problem is I already own all three games. I don't know whether I should buy them again but this is tempting...

@Cbunn

Pfft, the metric system.

The metric system is the tool of the devil! My car gets forty rods to the hogshead and that's the way I likes it.

Yeah, I have them too, but it's looking like that won't stop me. Just think of it as supporting a series with criminally tepid sales figures.

Wow, artwork that's been up on the MDb that I've been looking at for years. Yeah, so excited for this... >_>

This is just all around win for me, never had a Gamecube so never palyed the first two, well nto much of them anyways. Played through 3 borrowing it from a friends, loved it. So this purchase just makes far too much sense.

Guess I can beat Super Metroid again while I wait for it. And this is definitely how to market to the hardcore Nintendo audience.

Jeez, what's with Nintendo actually throwing us a bone here? I'll grab it, but still, it's essentially just repackaging.

YesPlease.

@Infin, yes, but owning a proper copy I can put in my wall > setting up another PC with the mDB always on :P

I so have to get this! Also I never get the hate that comes with the metric system? How is counting in tens difficult?

This deal keeps getting better every time I check up on it. I have no idea why Nintendo doesn't always do this and then market the hell out of it...

...I mean it's not like they don't have the money for it.

I'm so glad I reserved this... Metroid Prime is probably my single favorite series out there.
