In a daring display of "spoonful of sugar" delay-droppin', Nintendo has up and hidden some less-than-wonderful news at the end of their
Phantom Hourglass release:
Metroid Prime 3's release date has slipped a week to August 27th. Delays are nothing new, particularly in Nintendo's world, and a week isn't quite as bad as it could have been. But I'm feeling terrifically lazy today -- the sun's shining bright up here in Bellingham -- so I'm gonna leave this to my Nintendo Delay Response Generator.
Readers, terrible news! It seems as though <NAME OF TITLE> has been delayed an entire [week/month/indefinitely]. I know how much we've all been anticipating this game, and our desperate need to continue the adventures of [Mario/Zelda/Samus/Stafy] will make the additional wait-time that much harder.
Now, I know that Miyamoto himself is often quoted as saying "a delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is forever", but we've been waiting forever already for this game, am I right? So let's kick-start our campaign to bring Nintendo of America to its knees with our [phone-in campaign/unholy email flood/online petition]. Let's send a message that we can't be bullied around with delays of an entire [week/month]!
Somehow, I think we'll be okay. We'll make it through this
together.

Fuck, I couldn't make that MP3 cover look worse if I tried, the Japanese get it right every time, they don't turn the game box into a Happy Shopper "Buy one get one free" promotional poster. Why are western designers such clueless chimps? Anyone?
