Doesn't seem like a perfectly faithful port, there wasn't any ledge hanging as far as I can recall in Metroid 2. You got nothing but ball form, spider ball, ball bombs, and three different beam upgrades, BUT ONLY ONE AT A TIME! You had to revisit chozo statues to change weapons!
...Also, wait. You didn't fight Kraid or Ridley in Metroid 2 either, so wtf. You had various forms of Metroids, along their various stages of development, from newly hatches to dragon-esque.

Ummm... Chad. As far as I recall, that's not the full game, but the name of a mini-release tech demo sort of thing.
Uh...instead of the new retroforce t-shirt maybe you guys should have made official retroforce pants because I think a lot of people are gonna need a new pair...me included
Sweet, I had been watching both this and Mother 3, to see them finished within a week of each other, along with every other game in the history of the world being released this month... This is a good time to be a gamer.
With this and mother 3 so close together, it feels like we're entering a second golden age for nintendo. No thanks to them, of course
Sorry Chad, but unless someone with a newer version of WINE has gotten this running on Linux I am VERY disappointed. Guess I'll go back to Mother 3 now.
Sry but you are losing your mind Chad. If you read his latest blog it even talks about how he is still working on the main game. From his original blog post about Metroid: Confrontation:

Sadly -- and maybe I shouldn't admit this -- I have been following this project a lot. I just heard that "it" was done and I immediately assumed it was the Metroid II remake. I even downloaded the darn thing and started playing it! *embarrassed*
I didn't know this other game even existed.

This isn't the M2 remake at all. This is Zero mission engine...Metroid SR388 uses SM engine.

Yeah, even this fail was awesome. The tech demo is really cool but I think it's too easy compared to other Metroids. Ridley and Kraig are wimps on this on. :P

Blahh no more remakes ffs, Metroid II is awesome on GB gezz you guys don't know anything about gameplay, i aint a hard metroid fan. but seriously, the last few years it seems gamers have been wanting better graphics then game play.
