It's amazing how long the gameboy was around. I mean, basically my whole childhood has some gameboy moment in it.

I've been waiting for this ever since I bought a 3DS at launch. Return of Samus is the only Metroid game I haven't played so I need this.
The 3DS needs a GBC color option for the original gameboy games.

Eh, I dunno. Metroid 2 has gotten kind of a mixed reception from people, so I just don't know. I am curious.
I bought this game at Bookmans earlier this year. I still need to go further in the game, I get lost much easily than in other Metroid games haha.
One of the few Metroid games I've actually beaten. I actually beat it over last Christmas break. It's pretty damn good considering it's on the gameboy.
I mean, I know it's linear, but I somehow have a harder time finding my way, go figure.

Oh man I want this. For me, these kinds of classics are the biggest draw of the 3DS. It was a struggle not to pick one up just to get the 'ambassador' games when they dropped the price.
Was I the only one who hated going through it? I needed a walkthrough for the entire thing, because some of those metroids were impossible to find without it. By the end I was glad to be done, I dunno.
Will buy it when it comes out. I've actually never gotten into Super Metroid, but I love the original Metroid for the NES (just played through it again). I've never played Metroid II. Looking forward to trying it.

But in all seriousness, yeah, my money's on this as soon as it shows up in NA. In a way though, it's a bit of an eye opener when you realize that you bought this expensive system just to play 20+ year old games.

Thats the only 2D Metroid I havent played, but I've always wanted to. Somehow I doubt it could be the most linear. Fusion might as well had an adult take my hand and walk me to the end of the game. I was disappointed and insulted.
anyone remember the huge box super metroid came in...totally super...sold it years ago ...maybe it's an age thing but I really miss those old SNES games ho hum....
Metroid II scared the SHIT out of me when I was a youngster. I still own my original gameboy cart, so I don't think I'll be picking this up anytime soon.

All I can say is that anyone new to the game who buys this would do well to find a map of the game online. As someone who played and beat it before the internet age, I guarantee this will save you from alot of headaches.
