Metroid custom NES? Yes Sir, we do have those in stock photo

Custom creations make me amazingly happy. I think most of all I love the idea of injecting a much loved system with creativity and individuality. eBay is always a great source for these types of treasures, such as this custom painted Metroid NES. As cool as it is, starting it at $199 seems like instant eBay death -- don't you people know the key to Internet bidding is fooling people into thinking something is cheap and then continually yanking the fishhook as the price goes up? Sigh. I'm going to go back to looking for a Samus suit now (someone put one of those on eBay, for f*ck's sake!)

[Thanks Adam!]

When I run out of games to buy, I'll start looking at eccentric systems.

Oh wait, I'm planning on getting the Halo 3 edition 360...

Me=hypocrite.

200 bones? Hoo... I appreciate art for the sake of art, but dayum. $50 would be an appropriate starting ground, assuming the system is still in good working order.

Mmm, metroid. Do want. Not for two bills, though.

BTW, I can probably fashion a Samus suit as soon as I'm finished with my Big Daddy suit, though you're going to have to come model for it.

In person.

In a bikini, you know, just for accuracy's sake.

Samus suit? Watch about 30% of America get fooled into thinking you're a female SPARTAN. Don't get garish on me.

Wow, I thought that was just a box for the custom-painted NES at first glance. I feel dumb.

I've been trying to figure out which appendage I'd sacrifice in order to own this thing, and then I decided I'd be willing to let them all go. I'd just be a torso with a custom NES. But I'd be one happy torso.
