I think the universe would implode if there was ever a preview comments section that didn't have somone saying they're were going to have an orgasm cause of the game.
Just picked up 2033 in preparation for this. Looks like a very different pace which should be a good thing. Just hope they hang on to the atmosphere of the first game.
Can't wait to jump back into this lovely world. Hope I can sit around and just listen to conversations between people like I did in the first game.
I bought the first one the other day after seeing jims necro review and watching the first 2 trailers for this one.
I haven't got into it yet though. I got quite frustrated on the outside areas when the crooks kept breaking my gas masks... trying to run to what i hope would be the next underground segment while rapidly running out of air isn't very fun but is immersive. I'll restart on easy so hopefully my gas masks can take a few more hits... or the enemies are easier to take down.

Metro: Last Light is going to be excellent. Note, 'is going to be', not 'could be'. I just hope that the multiplayer mode doesn't feel tacked on.
Is that footage from the PC version of this game? If so poor little jimmyx will be left disappointed! ;(
I don't dig that 90's shooter "gun pops into hands" shit. First, they don't show his hands, then that forced "jump onto train" mini cutscene occurs, and then "oh wow, my gun is dead level in an instant!
Guess that special animation requirement is more expensive than having cloth physics that works itself out (sexy animation, but jarringly so in comparison). Probably came bundled with the middleware so it was a free add-in.
I do love me some Eastern European gun games, though, don't get me wrong.
