I don't know who these Metallica goons think they are, but seriously -- what's up with them getting the first look at Activision's upcoming Guitar Hero: Metallica?
While it's certainly a bit unfair, we'll take what we can get. So if we have to head over to the official Metallica Web site to get our first glimpse of the game, so be it. The trailer looks as expected, with the digital likenesses of Metallica looking like a cross between their real-life counterparts and Statler and Waldorf from The Muppet Show.
There's no information here that we don't already know, so I guess the next thing on the plate is Activision letting us get our hands on the game. I'm going to go on a limb here and say that it's probably a lot like Guitar Hero World Tour, just with more Metallica. Can that be a bad thing?
[Update: Apparently, it was Yahoo! Games that went live with the trailer, even before Metallica. Good on ya'.)

I'll admit, I'm partial to "No Leaf Clover", "Master of Puppets", and "The Ecstasy of Gold", other than that, I could care less about Metallica.
Guitar Hero has now become the next Tony Hawk for Activision, the game they recycle every year with practically nothing new added to it, except a small portion.
Is there a bonus stage where you suck Bob Rock's cock and giant coins come flying out?
Is there a part where you forget how important Cliff Burton was on your writing abilities and you can treat your other ball of talent guitarist like a complete heel and hire on an acceptible replacement that can't stop doing pentatonic runs with his foot stuck to the wah?
Oh..oh...and is there a part where every fag that spit on you when you listened to Metallica back in the day is now trying to be a metal-head and telling you that they haven't sounded any better now and that they are the greatest band ever and you don't have a leg to stand on because you didn't know what you were listening to back then and you sure as hell don't now because Metallica was always cool...well...when they brought out that great track Enter Sandman and you started hating them because you wanted to be all cool yourself mode?
And then is there a mode to smash that fucking idiots face in with a sledge hammer and you get to apologize to all the real fans that got you there by retiring and saying sorry about all that gay shit since And Justice For All??

seriously there's not a band out there that deserves the right to their own GH/RB game more then Metallica :-) I love that band, saw them performing live last summer, by far the best show I ever saw of any band :-)
I hate you, Metallica. I really do.
Now I'm glad I can go see a lot of the bands I like for about $25. You can usually tell when someone is there to make music and when someone is there to make cash.
You make heavy Metal music because you LOVE it. Not because you want more loot from the record company!
