NEOGEO Shooting 2D masterpiece Metal Slug comes to iOS and Android devices today, priced  at $3.99 on the App Store and Google Play.

SNK Playmore says that this is an "arcade-perfect" port with extra features. A mission mode lets you play any previously cleared level to train. You'll be able to reposition buttons outside the game screen area in a special mode. An autofire feature lets you hold the fire button down to...well, you know. Finally, multiplayer is supported via Bluetooth.

Fans of the series, here's even more good news: SNK Playmore confirms that Metal Slug 2 and Metal Slug X are coming in the near future.
