Just beat it on the HD collection on 360 I beat it in 04 and 05. I have loved this masterpiece since its inception. I'd gladly play it again.
Dammit, I was hoping for a little more space between this and Resident Evil. I've barely scratched the surface of those GBA games as well. Wish I could go back to an age when I had plenty of free time and could just indulge in all these great games that keep assaulting me. Stupid job and shit :(

Eh, not really 100% correct. You failed to mention how the game was completely rebuilt from the ground up for this version. It'll be the same story and events. It'll have the extra things you mentioned. But according to Kojima when he talked about it about -I think- a month ago or so he said it should look great on the 3DS because of the rebuilding they put into it.
Either way, HD collection has another full game in it that makes it worth it. This ones portable. people can justify getting both versions if they try hard enough.

This used to be the 3ds game changer in my mind but with the HD collection giving 2 more games for pennies more and vita the the next day this seems to little to late for me
I'll buy it no questions asked, would I play it is a whole different story, from what I've read there is some frame rate drops, and the controls will obviously be inferior to that of the ps2 or HD collection. If the new additions are worthy, I would still play it though.

I have the HD collection and I'm playing through this for the first time now, but I'll still buy this once it goes on sale.

Put me in the boat of already fulfilled. After using a checklist to get all the achievements in one run of MGS3 on the 360, I'm a bit MGS3'd out. Don't even get me started on MGS2... Still have to get all the dog tags on Tanker Extreme and Plant Normal - Extreme. Oh and like 70% of the VR Missions. Damn my achievement whoring ways!
It's probably best to get this one before the 3DS goes down the tubes, but I just got the HD collection. Maybe I'll get it just to (try) save the flailing little handheld. Vita is gonna smoke it lol
