I believe this is a first, but an HD collection is getting a limited edition version. Then again, it's Metal Gear Solid, so I think Konami's partly justified in this!
The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection limited edition comes in fancy packaging and includes a 248-page art book. It's not exactly the most lavish of offers, but as a big fan of MGS, I definitely want it. It's going to look damn pretty on my shelf, that's for sure.
MGS HD is planned for November 8 and will hit both Xbox 360 and PS3.

You guys got the Limited Steel Book but it's already sold out.
A steelbook case would have been nice though. Or a free theme or something, or even something useless like a Solid Snake outfit for my avatar. Something in addition to the art book.

I personally liked the idea of "Transfarring".

The main difference with "Transfarring" was that it was an addendum to the built in UI game saves (on the PSP/Vita OS) and the features is found in all games built by the "Fox Engine". Games saves are pretty much being copied over and going from "static" to "active". The unused copies are locked when not on its active platform. This action is que'd up when copied and transfered completely out or in via USB connection. The only way to get a locked PS3 gamesave back is by putting the same game save back in from the Vita.
What differs in Sony's "Cloud save" model found in games such as Ruin, the saves are uploaded to a PSN server (i.e. "Cloud") and are attached to a certain username. There is no extra price or subscription required for game saves "over the cloud" and the service is capable of being used over 3G. The only knock is that if a nephew wants to play a Ps3 game you just "cloud saved" out of the PS3 and your PS Vita game save corrupts, you pretty much need to go back to another separate game save (if you have one). No word yet if "cloud saves" can yield multiple save slots like a virtual 256mb memory card. :)

Irrefutable, factual evidence as to why the game being on Xbox fails. Snake vs Monkey was fucking GDLK.
And now you mention that actually, I'm starting to wonder if some of the Subsistence/Substance extras will be cut out because they don't fit on 2 DVD9s.
Oh, and the collection looks good, too.

i read that substance/subsistence version won't be having any boss duel mode watsoever and that the 360 is to blame for this. i also think the inclusion of Snake vs Monkey might also have something to do with this. and im not even sure now if they'll include the secret theater(with Snake vs Eraser or Rock Paper Scissors against The Boss)
look i think it's fair that all system needs to experience all of MGS givings. that includes the boss modes and other goodies. i think what they should do is add the extra things(boss duel mode, secret theater) on a 3rd disc in the 360 release. i mean there's no problem for the PS3 adding these stuff on 1 disc due to size of the disc, but it's a shame if they're gonna remove it just because the other version can't afford to put it in.
i know it's probably gonna cost konami for adding an extra 3rd disc but this is MGS people. you definitely need to give your 110% to it
as for the Snake vs Monkey, im okay with it being removed BUT they should have left it in the PS3 version.
all i want is to experience the MGS saga in the Complete way.
hame the US version won't include all these free goodies like the mug, headset, ost, and figurines :(
Metal Gear Solid is my favorite franchise ever. along with Deus Ex, The King of Fighters Series :P
