I say looks pretty good because I haven’t watched Metal Gear Solid Philanthropy yet. This fan made movie is 70 minutes long and I’m feeling way too A.D.D. to focus on one thing at the moment. Topless Robot watched some of it at least and says that the CG work is excellent, it has a decent plot and the Solid Snake actor is pretty good.

There’s been a sudden surge in fan made stuff like this. In fact, there’s a couple of fan made videogame movie trailers I may post later tonight. For now, give this a watch and let us know how Metal Gear Solid Philanthropy is. If the video doesn't play for you, you can also download the movie at the official Web site.

Hit the break for some METAL GEAR action.

Just saw it. Kept me entertained for the whole duration. The voice actor for Snake was excellent.

When I have an hour to burn I'll probably spend it watching this, I'm usually not too thrilled with fan-made movies but since it's MGS I'll give it a try.

Wow. Just wow. Free. Professional. Awesome. Did I mention FREE?

I can't wait for the 2nd part. This movie brings "fan films" to a whole new level! I'm not even a big fan of MGS but it kept me VERY entertained and it was fun watching it! I highly recommend it even if you're not familiar with MGS :)

I just watched the movie and it’s AWESOME!!!!!

Kudos for the team that make the film. the acting isn’t that good but is better that resident evil. they truly captured the spirit of Metal Gear.

The CG and camera work were nice. The only real quirk was a lack of lip sync with the dub. And I waited in vain for "Metal Gear!?".

Wow. Ridiculously good for fan made material. Its rather astounding when you consider the quality of the filming, let alone the effects used. The CG is very good. And since its fan made, there won't be compromises to make Snake fit, rather the story will bend to fit Snake as he is meant to be.

okay. Am I the only person who seems to think Snake's voice is slightly off sync with his mouth? And am I the only one thinking that Snake's voice is a little TOO much like David Hayter's?

I'm not sayin... I'm just sayin....

considering this is fan-made, this is pretty amazing work. the CG in particular - whoa.

that said, you can totally feel the lack of kojima.

that is the movie i assosiate metal gear to. If hayter ever makes his movie and it sucks, i will then refer to the metal gear movie as this trilogy.
