If you don't want even more revealed about Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, look away now. This is the latest trailer for MGS4 and as usual, it does what MGS trailers do best: Over-expose the game, take away big surprises ... and yet strangely still make one ridiculously excited for the game.
Lord knows what Kojima is cooking up with this one, but I'm down with it. This trailer brings a few new hops (chiefly the one that Cam Clarke may be able to do some role reprisal after all) but I'll try not to get too excited for the possibilities. There's no telling when Kojima will throw a curve ball.
This game is going to be excellent, I feel safe expecting at least that much.

OH MY GOD!!!!!
He looks so dam cocky at the end of that vid as if to say, "Yeah, you'd like that wouldnt you, well you're gonna have to beg for it first!"
My theory about the big twist ever since I saw Old Snake, is that Old Snake is actually Big Boss from MGS3, and now that I see this new trailer it even makes me feel more certain that this new younger snake in mgs4 is the same Solid Snake from MGS 1,2. Kojima's just been fucking with us about Old Snake being Solid Snake this whole time. Yeah I know Big Boss is supposedly, that doesn't stop a thing.
@Yaisuah
I can believe the "old snake" we've been seeing be Big Boss..but doesn't explain why he'd know Otakon.
I see it more of a playable flashback of the Shadow Moses incident. Either that or there was more than enough space to include a original MGS remake....which I highly doubt.
Lol if people think kojimas stories are strange just read some of the theories plastered all over the internet before the game comes out. Anywho to the guy who said he looks cocky...shouldnt you be playing gta/halo/GoW?
I hope there will be alt of those..
they said mgs4 wouldn't fir on a dvd so
we may be expecting a very long game with maybe a lot flashback from mgs 1 ... alot
well seeing as blu-ray is completely awesome and they claimed that they didnt have enough space to put the alternate languages in, IT MUST MEAN EVERY MGS GAME IS REDONE WITH THE MGS4 ENGINE. YES
@yaisuah: No, it's probably that since snake's a clone, his telomeres are shorter and he ages faster. That's why he looks a lot older than Meryl, Otacon, and even Campbell.
I seriously doubt they remade the entire first game, since Kojima's been having issues fitting the 4th ON A 50GB DISC. If you have problems with that, you're not gonna go around remaking other stuff that was just rereleased in the stores like a month ago.
I'd have to say it's not a remake for the simple reason that no one was around in the snow. That scene had guards, trucks and spotlights. I would venture to guess that you play through as old snake for a while in Gerzipergakistan or wtf ever and then flashback to when you stole Rex a year or two before just to impress the ladies, but he finally realized he was gonna have to use rex to actually save the day and uses it as old snake. Or perhaps Old Snake is the original and the younger snake we saw is actually ANOTHER clone that was simply made more recently. Either way I spooged. BRB need tissue...
i think that the young snake could be the same as mgs1. because old snake is crazi old and otacon is pretty young. but if mgs1 is remade for ps3 i will buy a ps3
Soooo at the end Snake confronts Liquid Ocelot, they have a cool fist fight on the head of a destroyed metal gear and just as Snake is about to dleiver the killing blow, he gets he falls asleep and wakes up in shadow moses. He's told he must stop Liquid from using Metal Gear Rex to blow up the world and it turns out Hideo Kojima is just a big fan of the movie Groundhog Day.
Wasn't the revealed locations for MGS4 the Middle East, South America, and Eastern Europe? We've seen the Middle East and South America (Vamp / Raiden fight), this might just be the last place.

that would explain the lack of guards and his point of entry in the stage

Also, that Snake player in Brawl was pretty damn brutal.
Same goes for me.
