TGS 2007: Metal Gear Solid 4 playable at TGS. Also, spoileriffic new trailer photo

Word from the Kojima Productions Report is that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will have a playable demo available at this year's Tokyo Games Show, something which now makes me want to murder colleagues Florian, Eliza, Dale, Nick and Niero in that order and with increasing ferocity/sexualization. While those wankers play it up and enjoy the time of their lives, the rest of us will have to make do with the brand new trailer that filters out from the show -- however, if you're not a fan of spoilers, one might be well advised to steer clear of it. Apparently, Konami might be showing a little too much of the game in the next trailer that could potentially spoil the experience. You have been warned.

The only other snippet of info regarding the trailer is that we'll find out who narrates the "Beauty and the Beast" footage that was shown at Leipzig. Finally, the Kojima Productions Report states that the team are looking at what improvements fans want to see after watching the GC demo, and chief among them are the animation and the first person view. Once again, I would like to wish a dry slap to the face of all our team heading out to Tokyo. A wish I send with the warmest of love, naturally.

[Merci, L'Donut]

I thought the animation was good, so I don't know. My main problem was the surprising amount of crappy textures on the environments.

Just what I need, another thing to make me think about getting a PS3.

Wasn't that Sigint narrating? Seriously it sounds just like his MGS3 VA except maybe a slight bit older. I don't think revealing something I already know is too big. Wish I could go to the TGS though.

The game looks great, but it's a 3rd person stealth. Ewwwww.

It does look good, so for the fans of that type of great, you guys are mostly likely going to have a helluva lot of fun. There's still nothing that begs me to buy a PS3. It would be bad ass to have one though. You know, just to have one.

The character animations I'll agree looked very good. The only thing that stood out was that I'm going to be staring at an old man's ass the entire time playing the game. Why does his suit have to give him a wedgie?

Also from the gameplay vid I saw, the "octocamo" while insanely cool, left me feeling that no matter how good the camo is lying on the floor 1 foot away from me while I'm walking past I'm going to spot you. I'd like to see maybe a certain distance limit on when the camo will work and when it won't.

What is the point of spoiling it?

DGX: Just because he's black, doesn't automatically mean he's Sigint.

Not my reasoning! Somehow I knew someone would accuse me of that. Its just that Sigint is the tech guy so not only does his voice sound right, but also in MGS3 he explained stuff like this. And he is too old to be on the frontlines now so I see him as the most likely, I could be wrong, but I really think it is him, him and the Sorrow were my favorite MGS3 characters. I would not be basing this just on the fact that the guy sounds black.

@Necros
Don't expect the 360 version to be announced until much later. Like, closer to the PS3 version's release, or after it. That would make the most sense.

I'm glad a games developer has actually come out and said they're listening to what people want improved.

Of course, if they listened to every people said about this game, Solid Snake would be Master Chief.
