The Internet was full of good jokes yesterday. Out of all of them, I have to say my favorite of the bunch (besides
Foxtoid, duh) was this mash-up of the
Metal Gear Solid 4 and
Assassin's Creed franchises. Even though this is a joke by Ubisoft and Konami, it's still new gameplay footage of
Metal Gear Solid 4.
For most of the video, we're lead to believe that Assassin's Creed star Altaïr has somehow fallen into the war taking place during Metal Gear Solid 4. It isn't until near the end that we see it's really just Solid Snake wearing the robe. The cheesy puns towards the end of the crossover really help sell this joke. The best part is at the very end with Hideo Kojima himself, though.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Also, I know the whole cow/metal gear connection is pretty old news, but I think I'm going to have a real beef with beef after playing this game.

The robe came off when the large bipedal thing charged at snake and missed, taking the robe off in the process.
thats why it was april fools... not showing that it could be done because it can't be done.. that was part of the joke making the trailer appear that it could be done
