I'm stilling playing many untouched great DS games on my 3DS though the lack of quality games and the half assed online effort makes me worry a bit.
The games will come eventually, but I don't know if Nintendo will ever do online right.

Awww, I just googled Asphalt 3D and it is a racing game :(. I thought it was a game where you stared at Asphalt, and that would be hilarious.
So a port of an existing game set to release early for the 3DS is first delayed to the fall and now to "undetermined 2012 date"?

From the latest previews I've read, it sounds like this game really needed the extra development time. If it makes a better game in the end, I'm okay with a delay.
Um, not really surprised here. I'm cool with it being delayed though, being on a budget and all. As long as Super Mario, Star Fox, Sonic Generations and Shinobi are releases this year I'm good
I've been hearing that this game was confirmed to be delayed in Austrailia, but everywhere else is not confirmed yet.
I'm ok with this.....I suppose. Hope they are making it better or taking this time to add multiplayer. Ha!

It could also be due to the massive framerate issues in the game. The 3D official trailer and reports suggested there was lots of slowdown in the game itself, not just in most of the cutscenes...

Oh come on, don't be so over-dramatic. Its still coming, so its not like it got canceled, but its just a port of a old game anyway. It doesn't take away from the long list of new 1st party games, that are still coming out for the rest of the year, in Super Mario 3D, Kid Icarus, Star Fox, Pokémon Rumble Blast, Paper Mario, Mario Kart, etc. If anything this just helps to make early 2012 that much better with RE: Revelations, Animal Crossing, and Luigi's Mansion 2 all possibly coming out in early 2010.

Oops! Obviously I meant 2012 not 2010, but like I said its going to be a great second wave of quality titles, coming in early 201. Which will probably be when the PSVita launches in North America. So in the long run, it might actually be a blessing in disguise, that all these good games are getting pushed into 2012 for the 3DS!
Hmmm, this might be a good time to check out some of the other 3DS launch games. I know not many of them got glowing reviews but I'm still pretty curious.

Oh no, a game has been delayed from a vague date to maybe a little bit later. Oh no, another developer is taking time to polish a game instead of releasing a buggy pile of shit. Seriously, Dtoid, why is Jim Sterling hacking his way through sounding like a sarcastic writer to pull in pageviews. Sure, reveal the new delay of the game, but cut the bullshit. No games to play on the 3DS? You knew the release schedule well before the 3DS launched, no one told you to buy the system, and I still don't buy into your "criticizing out of love" crap. Dtoid, get someone else to "report" on all matters 3DS. I'm not alone in getting fed up with the attention-grabbing bullshittery.

Heh, it's funny cause I am slightly relieved. I'm still trying to finish Okamiden so I can move on to my first proper 3DS game Ocarina of Time, and that's gonna take forever and then there are 4 or 5 more 3DS games I want to get before the year ends.
Of course I can totally understand people being disappointed by the current almost complete lack of software, especially someone like you Jim who has to plough through these games as soon as you get them for review.

The only 3DS games I have are Ridge Racer an DoA. Thankfully, there are so many DS RPGs I still have to get through that I'm almost happy for the chance to focus on them instead of 3DS titles at the moment. The games will come.

just a few more months and i will not have enough money to buy all the 3ds games i want. bit trip, super mario, mario kart etc. and then everyone will be amazed at how well the 3ds is selling for the holiday season.

Meanwhile, the MGS HD Collection is likely still on track and will provide shoot the 3DS release in the foot.
