Probably nothing but it makes me suspicious, simply because they didn't show the unit open. Going to be interesting seeing what makes it "so special" and speculating in the interim.
This game is useless in my opinion. After the hd release there is no way I'd own this. Good thing there are other 3ds games I'm looking for. :D
I will never buy another portable game system from Nintendo with a specialty case. I bought my son a green case(because it's his favorite color), I think bundled with a Mario game, it was broken out of the box. I sent it in for repair and wrote all over the paperwork that I needed the green case back and I would wait as long as necessary to make sure I got a green case.
I got a black case. I had to spend a month writing to Nintendo in order to get someone that would correct this problem. Eventually, I did get my son his green DS back, but it was really a pain in the ass. If Nintendo is going to make specialty cases they should fully support the repair and return of these cases.
The gentleman that finally corrected the mistake told me they would alter their procedures when dealing with specialty/rare color cases. I hope they have changed their policy towards this issue, but I would not be willing to take that chance again.

Forget snakeskin, we need a skin that is like an interior crocodile alligator, along with a Chevrolet movie theater attachment.
Little known fact about this 3ds ... when you start it up it sounds like an old z28 camaro and plays def leppard and poison
this isn't fair at all. If I had known this was coming out, I would not have bought the 3ds at launch.
I like it and I hope we get it here, but there's nothing stopping someone from coming out with a faux snake-skin cover for the existing 3DS' out there.. Actually I'm fairly sure someone already makes them.
Either way, because of a skin condition I have I just had a hell of a time trying to get my black one clean last night and I have it in a cover/armor/grip... thing... so i can't imagine how much harder it'll be to clean that thing if it attracts dirt and stuff like the normal textured 3ds' do.
