No fucker takes Metacritic seriously, except the industry lot for some reason. A high score just means you put more money out the game's budget into paying off the big reviewers.

I would venture a guess that this is the lowest user scored entry on metacritic. An achievement worthy of recognition, take a bow Capcom.
I've played through the first 2 chapters of Leon's campaign and frankly I'm enjoying it so far. It's different, but it's not the crap that users are making it out to be - it's an action based third person shooter. I've personally found the story to be engaging to this point as well.
It seems like critics have a vendetta against the RE series/Capcom and are simply unloading on this game, but when you take a step back and accept it for what it is it's really not bad. Would I like to see Resident Evil go back to it's more traditional roots? You bet I would, however this is really just the expansion of RE 4 and 5. After all....it is RE 6.

What i don't get is the rage of it all, i mean if anyone didn't see the action oriented route this was IP was taking they're blind as fuck. Also, in any other moment i'd understand Survival Horror fans being depressed about it, but right now? with Kojima taking over Silent Hill? With Nintendo with it's hand over Fatal Frame? With Amnesia a Machine for Pigs coming next year? cheer up guys, survival horror is far from dead.
I think Capcom can revitalize the Resident Evil franchise by rebooting it and having the player run from Metacritic users.

Things are usually never as bad as those user reviews make them out to be, especially when the flood gates open up on them. The whole ME3 thing still kind of baffles me, sure the ending kind of sucked but it was a pretty solid game aside from that.

All this RE news strangely enticed me into playing Eternal Darkness again.

okay.....thats definitly not what I was expecting of this title,anyway, Has Capcom still got the guts to release it for the pc??
I've been playing LEON's campaign for the last 3 hours, and I don't see how any honest reviewer could give the game a broken score. IF the game wasn't called Resident Evil, gamers would probably love it. They act like they are offended that RE is no longer survival horror, but in reality, some of the battles I've gotten into still feel like SURVIVAL HORROR.
But then again, i realize it is 2012, and some are still living in the 90's, and they score new FF games really low for some reason, and they score amazing games like VANQUISH painfully low, even though it probably has the most brilliant gameplay this generation.
We also know some reviewers aren't that good at games, and they let their frustration be known through the low score. Sometimes they don't realize there is plenty of ammo, because anyone with a brain would know you don't need to kill ALL the zombies, and melee attacks are powerful, so why would you waste bullets unless you're just kind of stupid in the head?
Oh well, yet another example of the american audience shitting themselves in rage and anger over a really fun game, whether it should be an action game or not shouldn't matter as much as the fact that it is a high quality and fun game. Oh wait, i forgot. it IS 2012 and gamers are fucking insane little twat-mouths that only listen to the head twat and the trends on the internet. Silly me for making sense.

Having an OP melee move kinda nullifies the Survival aspect if you don't have to be concerned about wasting ammo >_>.
You do have a point with the fact that you don;t have to kill everything you come across though, and the bit about people puttting their emotions inot their reviews. Though that one counts for everyone including yourself.
I'm sure you are enjoying the game, but fact is there are some odd and right out bad design choices present such as the cover system to name one. Point is, it's a less then a mediocre game even when you disregard it's legacy.
I wish people in general would stop caring about other people's opinions concerning their hobby's etc :S. It's so much simpler and less stressful to not take shit so personal.
