Melted Xbox 360 as art? What a concept. "Mixed media," the artist calls it. Microwave melted, studded with eyeballs and laced with phallic, veiny things. Really, who wouldn't want it? And at $31,002, it's an absolute steal.
Half of the proceeds from this melted game system "art" go to charity CAIR. That was nice. I think the artist is calling this the XBOX 360 Elite Slug. So, yeah...it's on eBay, and there's no bids yet. Now's your chance!
Nintendo fanboy? This melted Wii "art" is probably more your speed. It still has eyeballs and sharp edges and whatnot, but it's only priced at $5,998, says HBG.

It looks like Jaws ate Argus Panoptes and a 360, then shat them out.
Take one console currently being sold.
Add fire, be sure to scorch but not destroy console.
Next, while the plastic is still hot, take other useless plastic things and melt it onto said console.
Then, after this is done take several weird, glass eyes and shove them into the melted plastic making them stick.
But on eBay for lots of money, say half is going to charity.
Profit?
Really, you don't need to spend full price for a console either, just get a bricked one off craig's list and do it that way. Maybe that's why he did it...

I think it looks like shit. And to boot, asking thirty-one thousand dollars for something that could only inspire a 6-year old seems a little pretentious, even for an artist. I don't think that this is art, but...eye of the beholder, and all of that.
