Mega64 released a new IGN video last week dealing with console exclusives. To be honest, I love the console wars. Fanboys go absolutely batsh*t insane defending their console of choice as if the console was their very own child.
It all boils down to money, folks. These companies want money and it's like my homie Notorious B.I.G. said, "Mo' money, mo' problems." Then Girl Talk comes out of nowhere and remixes Biggie's song with Coolio's "1, 2, 3, 4" and everyones "Gotta gotta get up to get down." Then bam, we switch to "Gangsta's Paradise" and they want to "Tell me why are we, so blind to see? That the ones we hurt, are you and me? OMFG that is AWESOME! I feel the exact same way though i think exclusivity is dumb if its on the 360/ps3 then it should be on the other as well... but not the Wii, f*ck that thing.
The reason for this console war is because greedy video game corporations are making a profit from the war, and the only casualties here are the video game consumers.
FF 13 has just given me an idea. What if a developer starts out making an exclusive, but then tells the other they'll make it for their console... but for a price!
They'd get the sales from both consoles AND a little bit of extra pocket change.
