Anything to hear that narrator's voice again

Mega64's latest video is about one of my favorite interactive experiences from last year, The Stanley Parable. But, these people look confused. Maybe they don't share my enthusiasm for it.

Alternatively, maybe they're confused because not a single one of these people is Stanley. Without Stanley, the name "The Stanley Parable" doesn't make much sense, does it? It could be The John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt Parable for all we know.

Davey Wreden, the writer for The Stanley Parable, tweeted out that he is writing an announcer pack for Dota 2. It's simple and fun, and it adds something interesting to the existing game. I would much rather buy a narration pack than a gun of +1 rampage.

The Stanley Parable is, once more, likely to be a hot topic of discussion as it pertains to the nature of narrative design in videogames and the illusion of choice. What isn't an illusion is the title's initial success, pushi...
How do you review a game like The Stanley Parable? To describe any one part of it is to risk its ruination. To detail what it has to say about game design, the illusion of choice, and the psychology of the gamer is to tell yo...
