When tasked with making a fan film of the Game of the Forever, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the boys of Mega64 decided to steer away from their typical modus operandi. The result is not a parody but a serious production filled with love and attention to detail. I can honestly say that they captured the spirit of Skyrim absolutely perfectly.

Too perfectly, perhaps.

I wish this happened in my game. All I get is an occasional frozen screen.

I wish this happened in my game. All I got was one flying backwards dragon in all of playtime.

Still funny video.

Oh, that's RICH!

Haven't laughed like that in a while. Very clever, Mega64.

Still can't understand how "so many people" have run into bugs. Everyone I know has been playing the game, most of us in party chat talking while playing, and none of us ever ran into any bugs.

I never even saw a backwards dragon. Not saying they don't exist, but either we're way luckier than most people, or it's a completely overblown issue.

Not an overblown issue. Legitimate problem. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean the negative publicity is false. I would very much like to finish the main story of my PS3 copy (which if they knew wasn't going to work they shouldn't have even allowed it to be made. It's not like they bothered to make a Wii copy.) but can't progress for more than an hour without the game shuddering to a halt, sooner if I have to go into a city or some other densely populated area. I endured for a long time, and then the patch I had waited to rectify the experience made the game worse, not better. I'm not happy with the game, others aren't as well, many are quite content because they're playing on the PC. Fortune doesn't equal superiority, guys.

best. film. adaptation. EVER.

also, while Bethesda has proved they can release an addictive game (albeit the SAME game over and over), they have also continued to prove that they are terrible programmers. seriously, name me one of their games that DOESN'T do that crap.

Misfortune doesn't equal inferiority either. My brother owns it on PS3 and has beaten it with 2 different characters.

Again, not saying the issue doesn't exist. People don't make up video evidence, but it does feel like people are going overboard with it ever since the GOTY stuff came out and Skyrim won.

I agree that it's a great game, one that i was completely enamored with up until about the 80 hour mark when the framerate issues started to really show. I made it to hour 120 before giving up. I don't know what your brother's definition of completion is to have beaten such a gigantic game twice (I know I still have loads to do), but I wish that I had the mysterious set of circumstances that gave your bro a full experience.

Now I don’t know how to feel....

yeah its a glitch feast and I can run some pretty damn demanding games on my fully functional gameing laptop. So I know its not my hardware. The complaining began way before GOTY to so what eves. I still love the game thou its just that as soon as I go past 80 to 100 hour mark the bugs run rampent in the game. Still while not unplayable it is annoying as hell.

Y'know, everyone talks about how buggy it is, but I've only encountered a few minor bugs in my 60+ hours of gameplay. Maybe that's just me?

In My depraved mind, i like to imagine the bugs and glitchs are only mentals disorders in my character mind.

in great majority works, but crashes are still not cool.

3 game lock ups and 1 backwards flying dragon in 100 hours of gameplay. I've seen worse. Not to minimize others problematic experiences though.

Great video. Sums up the situation with Skyrim pretty perfectly. As for the whole glitches vs GotY thing. My way of looking at it, is that if any glitchy game deserves GotY, it may as well be with Skyrim. I feel sorry for those people who lucked out on the glitch raffle as it were, but buzz still surrounding the game to know that it deserved it's wins.

Meh Kinda funny but like the other posts Ive played 165 hours on the xbox 360 version and had very very little glitches like it froze maybe twice but nothing else. Its my GOTY all the way! What other game can you play for that long and still not have seen everything the game has to offer...Just amazing!

Other than a few quest objects I can't shake off, one backwards-flying dragon, and maybe three lock-ups during the course of my 72-hour save file (I've probably put in at least an additional 10 hours that were lost from dying). I appear to be one of the fortunate ones. I am also still ridiculously addicted to it.

Funny how the game didn't freeze me up too much before the patches. Nowadays I'm seeing the craziest things the game can throw at me. Bugs, console freezes, physics messed up. Fun!

Knowing them they probably bought the PS3 version which it seems is the worst version of the game.

Bethesda RPGs are meant to be played on the PC anyways. They are always flawed but there are lots of patches to fix it and also free additional content.

The only real glitch I have had is backwards dragon. When I play at my dads the game has a few minor loading issues. On my onw 360 I have never been bothered by loading issues. But then again my dads HDD for some reason is terrible slow.

AKA if I install the game on his disk the loading times become almost double, and the game frequently freezes because it has to load up, or it takes 8 seconds before a character starts to talk to me when I engage a conversation. And for an example of why this is not Skyrim's fault. I cannot watch movies or downloaded trailers on his 360 without heavy and constant loading/buffering interference, so watching anything is seriously annoying and takes at least twice as long as what you are watching. Having interruptions every 5 to 8 seconds is not a nice way to watch anything.

I love Mega64, and Skyrim, and I found this funny. I've not really ran into any pain-inducing glitches or bugs on the PC version, but I feel for my fellow gamers when they run into these problems.

Still my favorite game of 2011.
