Yeah I hate the cliche, along with the people dumb/insecure enough to be manipulated by a "badass" look on a game cover, but didn't at least half of their examples just look like normally posed faces?
@llort het: I was about to say the same thing. There's also good chunk have their heads tilted slightly downward, but only in a way that seems perfectly logical for the action their performing, and a few (Spyro for example) even had their chins fairly elevated. They're definitely overstating the prevalence of this cliche.
I don't have the best relationship with the Mega64 team, but even I have to admit that that was funny.
yeah, unless that's part of the joke (I don't see why it would be) lots of these are suspect, a lot of the protagonists are just grimacing. I'm going to have to call fish story on this for the most part-there is a point with A-list titles, not arguing that- but if you're trying to drive the point home, maybe don't slow down to a trot on the tenuous(/bordering on counter)examples on the snap cuts. Just a thought.

All of you people that are discrediting this video for not being completely accurate or something need to lighten up, this video (like all of Mega64's videos) is supposed to be a joke. Don't take anything they say or do so seriously.
@Tony and NukaCola No, neither of those things happened. I've just never found them to be all that funny, and I tweeted about that about a month ago. They re-tweeted it on their stream, and I got a bit of a backlash from their fans.
How enlightening. I never noticed how overused the Kubrick Stare was. It certainly is a popular trope.
