According to the official guide for Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, the game will feature a DLC Mega Man X costume for Zero. Pretty cool, though it's a little nervy that this wasn't included in the main game. Nervy or not, it's up to Capcom to decide how they sell their games. If they want to take the risk of turning off customers by disincluding some content from the initial retail pacakge, then that's their risk to take. Same goes for if they plan to rerelease Mega Man 8 with new audio that includes Dr Light screaming "No!" at the top of his lungs as Proto Man shoots first. It's their game, so it's their call. It's our call to decide if we think those decisions are worth supporting with our hard earned bucks.
Of course, not everyone sees it that way. Plenty of fans are already taking the situation personally, claiming that Capcom is including this DLC skin in the game just to antagonize fans who want a real Mega Man character in UMvC3. Never mind that Zero is a Mega Man in everything but name (he even got his own series, aptly titled Mega Man Zero!). Never mind that if Capcom were to release Mega Man X via DLC as a full character, fans would complain that he wasn't in the game at the start, that it will ruin the balance, etc. Never mind that if people really want to play a Vs. fighting game with Mega Man, they can pick up either Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on XBLA/PSN, or Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom on the Wii right now.
Never mind all that. What matters here is that Capcom isn't doing exactly what the fans tell them to do all the time. Therefore, they are trolling. Remember that the next time you say or do something that doesn't 100% satisfy the recipient of your actions, you God damn trolling bastard!

talbain looks good and if he has his air dash attack it might as well be Talbain anyay. Mega man and Zero are the same to me anyway. Just +/- a sword.
I also personally like the idea of Capcom adding costumes that actually change who the characters are (Trish, Spencer, Zero, Shuma), but without messing up the balance with another play style.
Now all they need is a BB Hood skin. Even if it's for Hulk or sentinel, I'd still like it..
Also, I think Capcom is doing what they can to put Mega in without wasting a slot. Because he sucks. And would at this point be hard to make interesting. And who knows what the situation is with Inafune and rights and such.

Yay for team meat and valve still I guess. Until THEY start charging for fucking maps and powerups and shit. In which case, ill have to throw in my hat and concede defeat.

I love the Nextwave references (Graceland MODOK and Dormammu's Rorkkanu skin, which isn't DLC but still rocks). Super-Skrull's Annihilation robe is awesome. I still don't like Nova's original outfit but I don't know what else he could have. Very disappointed at the lack of an Immortal Iron Fist costume though. Hawkeye's Ronin look is amazing.
And of course, Cable-Pool. I haven't had a chance to read Deadpool & Cable yet (it's in the pile) but I've been told that at one point, Deadpool dresses up as Cable. Hence the copious Liefield pouches. Genius.
Then you would realize that by MMX6, He has all of Zero's powers. Therfore, Zero=MMX. This only sweetens the deal.
Alsoalso, Capcom pays us in dlc tokens for %30 off our next DLC purchase.

Really I completely disagree with Capcom's latest business proposal, and this game in general is just a slap in the face.
I get that you love Capcom Jon, as this argument seems to only come up in articles related to them, but you can't tell me they are the company of old. They are basically the Activision of the East.

Another slap in the face as far as I'm concerned. Don't give me this 'entitlement' bullshit. Why the hell can't I have my cake and eat it? There are giving people a grape then dangling the bunch in front of the them.
In Dark Chronicle if you wanted to get the hidden costumes you have to earn them by obtaining medals or crafting them. You didn't pay real money.
This still doesn't make me mad, being a Mega Man fan. Classic or EXE WILL get in simply due to fan demand. To deny the fans a Mega Man would be a travesty, and it would also show that they don't care about ANYONE outside of the FGC when it comes to fighters.
Any who, I'm really looking forward to UMvC3. I LOVE Shuma-Gorath's new costume, it's glorious nightmare material. It was hard for me to believe that he could become more Lovecraftian than he already was, but they did it. I didn't even know Quoggoth (the character he was based on) existed before the costume was revealed.

You don't HAVE to buy all the DLC you know, it's your choice. I'm personally only buying whatever pack has Phoenix Wright and Dormammu in it seeing as I'll use those guys and they're costumes are pretty good. Plus they're JUST costumes, you don't really need them. Spend your $5 on a sandwhich or some shit.
