What if killing a boss in Mega Man didn’t result in you gaining its power, or no power-ups were ever dropped? That’s exactly what Old Rich People’s new sketch comedy video sets out to answer, but from Dr. Wily's perspective.

There have been so many Mega Man games over the years that I can say with certainty that Diamond Man is a better idea for a boss than some of the strange and outright horrible boss designs that were actually created by Capcom.

Yes, I’m talking about you, Gemini Man.

[Thanks, Kariomart]

Yeah, I actually dug Gemini Man myself. His level design was memorable as well, with the space backdrop and strange tube towers serving as the ground. Gemini Man's cool with me.

Great sketch! Love the ending. It's always funny to think about the aspects of some video games, especially older ones, in the context of the real world.

I'm surprised they didn't touch on the fact that there have been four 'fire' robots; Fire man, Heat man, Flame man and Inferno man. A couple others have been reused too, like Air man / Wind man / Cloud man (who's an exact copy of an enemy from Air Man's stage, natch), Ice man / Blizzard man / Freeze man... I could probably go on.

I agree with the pro Gemini Man comment consensus as well.

That was an hilarious video. Also, I agree with everyone who likes Gemini Man. He is one of the better, more original bosses.

Does it make a difference that from Mega Man 2-8, the Robot Masters were created by fans? Capcom ran a contest for seven games where the winner's designs became the robot masters of the game. The only ones Capcom created were the original 6. If you don't like Gemini Man, don't blame Capcom, blame Yoshihito Hattori. (Yes, I wiki'd that name.)
