Mega Man Lego recreation is pretty epic photo

There's no shortage to the number of amazing things gamers do to express their love for the games that inspired them, and we bring you another one today courtesy of Capcom Unity. Created by Brazil resident Marcos Bessa for a competition called LusOlympics, you can see more pictures of it here and a full sized photo of the complete project in our gallery. Fun fact: he had never played the game. For shame, Marcos!

I miss my Legos -- I have built a few things with them, but never anything this epic. Have you ever taken on a game-related Lego project?

NEEDS MORE METAL BLADE.

"Have you ever taken on a game-related Lego project?"

I actually tried to do one of Sonic's Speed Shoes back in the day. HINT: I failed.

I saw "Mega Man Leg", though you had made a post about a coming Mega Man Legends game, shit my pants, and then realized this was just some legos.

Still cool though.

It's not bad. I was expecting something like a pixel-for-pixel recreate, but I like this.

I never attempted anything of the sort because you never have enough pieces of either the right shape or right color (or both of course) for whatever you attempt. And getting specific Legos gets pretty pricey after a while...

I miss seeing things like this in my Lego magazine back in the day. Back when Bionicle was good. *sigh* Nostalgia.

My little bro and I actually actually took created video game characters (from like Tony Hawk and stuff) and made Legi versions and used my moms old video camera to film a trilogy where all their worlds collided and they had to bring down this devil guy who was sorta like Satan. It was pretty fuckin' epic. It was on tape though so we never made a backup and eventually lost it.

I once built an Arwing and Wolfen out of Legos after Star Fox 64 came out. That was my proudest Lego moment.

When I was a real kid (and not a man child pretending) I used to make Zelda themed lego items; heart containers, boomerangs, candles, shields, swords, etc and then hide them around the house. Then I would go and seek them out, mimicking the noise with It was my own little adventure right there in my house!

That's really weird timing. I've been creating (almost) pixel-perfect Lego Mario sprites lately, and I just took some new pictures this morning. I have a couple 3 dimensional question mark blocks, which I use for candy... and Kleenex.

Hi there!

First of all, many thanks for your comments! ;)

I just wanted to clarify that I'm not Brazilian! :D I'm Portuguese and the contest was held between a Portuguese and the Brazilian LUGs! ;)

Cheers,
