Oh, poo.
The downloadable teaser game, which was supposed to launch along with the 3DS eShop on June 6, has been hit by the delay stick with quality concerns cited as the reason for the extra time in the oven. As of now, no new release date has been announced.
I ought to be more bummed, but as I've yet to get my hands on a 3DS, this doesn't affect me a great deal. Sucks for others who were waiting.
In the meantime, development continues onward with another devroom outreach to fans. If you remember from last month, Capcom asked the community to vote on Mega's redesign for the new game. Of the three picks, the two most requested were tweaked even further and reposted for a final round of voting.
As before, I've gotta go with the more human looking design on the right. I just can't stand looking at manties anymore! You have until next Thursday to hit up the site and vote on your favorite. While there, check out Roll's cute new design!

It's a little more complicated than that. He DID grow from an infant state to a teenager, so his armor has to be just that: armor.

To be honest, I'm just assuming that Trigger is party cyborg. But it makes sense, given that he can remove his entire arm and attach a giant mechanical drill to it. Given that, it's probably safe to assume that some time in the past, he replaced his old human pelvis with a cybernetic one.
I mean, if that kind of technology was possible, I bet a lot of guys would replace their current pelvises with new ones. The allure of the upgrades you could potentially install would be mindboggling. And gross. But mindboggling.
Not to say that Trigger is THAT kind of guy. But he did apparently replace his arm to improve his performance as a digger. So you never know.
Which looks like utter shit and is inappropriate for Legends. I'm not playing this game if that piece of shit design wins.

Except the developers already stated that in Legend's universe it's possible for people to replace and augment body parts, so it's not necessarily like he's actually wearing a suit of armor.
Let's not forget that until the end of the first game, Mega had no idea he wasn't just another "human." And it wasn't until well into the second game that he learned exactly who he was. If it was easy to tell he was some kind of biological robot, he would have discovered it himself years prior.
And I highly doubt a 14-year-old would replace his entire body with augmented parts.
If it had been released on June 6th, I wouldn't have been able to actually play it until the 12th, if not later, because of all the time sensitive E3 work I'll be doing. I think the same is true of most in the gaming press.
So good thinking, Capcom!
