Mega Man kicks some ass in new Smash Bros. trailer

[Update: Mega Man's character bio is up on the official Smash Bros. website.]

No doubt many of you have heard that Mega Man is invading the Smash Bros. universe in the next Super Smash Bros. game for the Wii U and 3DS. As you can guess, I'm beyond excited. To celebrate the occasion, a new trailer has emerged for the well appreciated third party addition.

Astute Mega Man fans will recognize tons of homages to past games, including weapons like the Metal Blade, Crash Bomber, Leaf Shield, Hard Knuckle, Flame Sword, Slash Claw, and Super Arm. His trusty robot dog Rush, the Yellow Devil, and the Wily Fortress also make an appearance.

Well guys, it took a company other than Capcom to do it, but I'm looking forward to playing as the Blue Bomber himself whenever Smash Bros. sees a full release. I couldn't think of a more well deserved and fitting addition given the franchise's history with the NES.
