Mega Man 10 dated, all weapon power-ups revealed photo

Capcom has just unleashed a ton of Mega Man 10 info! First the important part: Mega Man 10 will be released this March. It will hit first on WiiWare on March 1, then on the PlayStation Network on March 11 and finally on Xbox Live Arcade on March 31.

Capcom has also revealed all of the power-ups that Mega Man will be able to rip out of the cold dead bodies from all the bosses. Check the gallery for new screenshots and to see Mega Man's new abilities in action. You can get a full breakdown of all the power-ups after the break as well.

Commando Bomb

After launching the Commando Bomb, press up or down on the + Control Pad to make it turn at a 90 degree angle. The blast spreads horizontally (or vertically) and follows the contours of the landscape. This can be used to break through certain walls to get hidden items!

Wheel Cutter

Press the Attack Button once to attach the Wheel Cutter to your arm, and press the Attack Button again to launch it (it follows the contours of the landscape). You can launch it 3 times and it’s effective to attack enemies at a distance. You can attach the Wheel Cutter to your arm and dart at enemies!

Triple Blade

You can fire tri-directional blades and attack multiple enemies at one time. There are two patterns: surface-to-air on the ground, and air-to-surface in mid-jump.

Thunder Wool

You can launch a thunder cloud that slowly rises and a lighting bolt shoots straight down from the cloud.

Solar Blaze

Splits apart and launches firebombs (left and right) after a set period of time. Effective when you are pinned between two enemies.

Chill Spike

Launch a freezing liquid which flies in a parabolic trajectory. An enemy hit by the freezing liquid will freeze and become unable to move.

Rebound Striker

You can throw a rubber super ball straight and diagonally up or down. As it gets faster and stronger with each successive bound, you can build up power and hit the target to inflict maximum damage!

Water Shield

A rotating shield of water surrounds Mega Man. Pressing the Attack Button once more deactivates the water shield and hurls high-speed drops of water that spiral outward.

I was planning to get the WiiWare version anyway, so... Yay me?

What exactly does Capcom hope to do with a schedule that out of whack? I was planning on getting it for the XBLA because I know my friends will too, and we like to compete on the Leaderboards, but I'm reconsidering it now.

Did they make the game look that terrible on purpose. I bet there are high school students that can produce better results.

Can anyone think of any time in history where more big games were released than March 2010? I'm getting seriously sick of this shit. Publishers always bitch and moan about how their games do poorly because they were released at a time when there was lots of competition. Well, then stop fucking releasing everything at the same time.

Lots of ways for me to kill myself. Just what I like in a Megaman game.

There was a time, long ago, called the 80's. It was a good time. A pure time. It's a shame you missed it.

@gamadaya

The reason is that many companies are trying to end the fiscal year as strongly as possible. That's why there are so many games being released before April 1st.

And a simultaneous launch across all platforms is impossible...why?

What the hell's with all the complaining of the graphics? Don't you people know where video games ame from? Capcom is using the style that made Mega Man famous. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's called nostalgic, and possibly even classic.

Man... Something tells me that as soon as a screenshot of a game being played on a next-gen system shows up online, people will immediately be calling the current-gen consoles crap because they won't be the newest machines anymore. Graphics don't make the games fun, people. They help, but they shouldn't be the determining factors.

Was it so difficult to just release it in all consoles at the same time ?

Wheel Cutter and Commando Bomb sound like fun.

I can't wait to get my latest Megaman fix on the 1st. That "long short-hop with spikes above and below" screenshot looks promising. Let the tenderfoots' bitching about trial-and-error gameplay begin!

Can't wait for the mighty gaming month of March to begin!
Also, MM 10 available first on the Wii! Sick, sick! That way I can get a start on it before RE:5 DLC and God of War III. So excited!

I can't believe people are complaining about the graphics. It's supposed to be an NES throwback, and I'd have to say, for 8bit graphics, they are above average, just like the classic games.
I don't know why these idiots are on gaming sites like this, there is no more Modern Warfare 2 news, so just go pwn some noobs or whatever you idiots do to pass the time... bro

I bet $100 that no-one bitching about the release dates has a Wii. Megaman 10 is so awesome it can't be held by a single release date.

njsykora: of course we that are complaining don't have a wii - that's the problem, we won't be able to play until half a month/a whole month later.

I love that they're making these games again.
Maybe this is where I start becoming an old Cranky Kong, but I can't help but feel like the simplicity and escalating difficulty of old school games are the purest essence of greatness video gaming will see (in their current form. There is still room for unexplored innovation and a similarly pure and easy to play but difficult to master style with new modes of input.)
But this, and 2D Sonic, and NSMBW... This is where it's at.

Could it not be that Capcom are trickle releasing Mega Man 10 for another reason besides giving 360 and PS3 owners the middle finger? I doubt Nintendo paid for 10 days exclusivity.

It could be all to do with the focus on marketing, or simply the fact that the Wii version is already done and/or the PS3 and 360 versions need more time.

It's for the same reason that Europe always gets games after the US. Marketing + extra time spent doing translations.

Speaking of which, Europe has not had it's own release of Demon's Souls yet. If I want it, I'd have to pay $65 for the privilege. How's that for frustration?

I would be more excited if they didn't decide to make the games a stupid amount more difficult than they original were. I don't know if my Mega Man skills have simply eroded since I was fucking 6 years old, but I don't remember Mega Man games being so hard.

I was thinking about buying it for my Wii, but seeing as I have the anniversary collection on PS2, and MM9 on my PS3, I think I'll just wait till the 11th and get it on PSN because I'm a trophy whore. :)

Sucks so many good games are coming out that month though. I probably won't have time to play it for a while.

Hell, I still have Demon's Souls, White Knight, Star Ocean 4, and by then FFXIII and GOW III right around the corner, I probably won't touch this until summer time.

patiently excited. Considering scoring this for PS3 (now that I have one)... but I do loves me some sideplay on the Wii. Time to reclaim that console from the living room...

These weapons sounds badass. I just don't know if I'll have the money for it when it comes out. Tasunoko vs. Capcom drained most of my funds, and the rest will probably go towards SoulSilver.
