Code of Princess is easy to overlook. Other than the fact that it features some excellent design work by 999/Street Fighter artist Kinu Nishimura, nothing about the game really stands out. It would be easy to dismiss it as just another 3DS beat'em up about nearly nude women breaking things.
This trailer has me hoping that the game may be something more, and so far, the game's cast doesn't disappoint. There is a key-tar playing jester and a self-worshiping pharaoh cat. There's also pant-less purple zombie woman with a huge scar across her face and a scarf that says "<3 MILK <3", and a man named Mr. T who has a lion's head where his chest ought to go. I approve.
It also looks like there is some multiplayer, but it's not clear what kind of multiplayer it is. If it's online multiplayer, then the game actually might have a chance at being a hit. People tend to forget that Castle Crashers sold like a billion digital "copies" in its first year. A good multiplayer online beat 'em up can churn up a lot of cheddar. I hope that its publishers keep that in mind if and when the game comes Stateside.

Meet the rest of the team
The game is made by some of the guys who made that really popular sega saturn game, guardian heroes. So if you liked those games, this will probably be something you would be interested in.
Uh fuck that, it's by the Guardian Heroes team. That stands out as being by the team that made the greatest beat'em up of all-time and means that it deserves top tier recognition from anyone and everyone.
This is like Guardian Heroes, by the Guardian Heroes team... might be a good reason to buy a 3DS. I hope some intending distributors see these comments...
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Probably won't come stateside anyways.

...Ohh. Not our Mr. T. (Hey, they used a sprite of his likeness in Earthbound. I can hope he appears in more games.)

@Sayword but the main game has 3D charcters, not enough jelly in those tits? :p
What @EggmaniMN said. I personally can't wait for this game. Guardian Heroes 4 life! :)
Hopefully someone like Aksys, Atlus, Xseed, or NIS will pick it up.
